Matched to a Vox vx 50 acoustic amp
Matched to a Vox VX50 acoustic amp and this is a perfect cafe' coffee house rig. The guitar is easy to haul yet built rugged and plays with a low action and good pickup and acoustic projection. I do a lot of voice and guitar gigs and find this to be a quick in and out yet maintains good crowd pleasing sound. The pickup and electronics are as easy to work on as doing a set up. it takes a nine volt battery to pre-amp the piezo pickup.
Fantastic guitar
Love this guitar! Great action, great sound plugged in or acoustic! Can't beat it, especially given the price!!
Sweetwater review
Great guitar for that price range quality construction excellent sound and playability. Sweetwater offers competitive if not the lowest pricing and their service is second to none.
Great Guitar, one heads up.
This guitar has a bright live sound (Martin lightwt strings) and looks very classy. Mine is sunburst. On board electronics are good. I like the tuner. Smaller body size and slender neck is very comfortable. Overall, great guitar. However, after playing it for awhile, I am developing a small issue. The output jack is incorporated into the strap button, and in between songs as I move around there is a creaking noise from the pressure of the strap on the button transferring into the jack; sounds like when you squirm in a leather chair. It's minor but irritating, and becoming more noticeable.
I like it
For the money, it works. Has a good sound, and plays well. I used it on a couple of gigs now, and it worked just fine, not great, but for the money not bad at all.
