Guild F-250E Deluxe Jumbo Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Blonde Reviews
The F-250E Deluxe Jumbo acoustic-electric guitar marks a tribute to the days when Guild’s maple-backed jumbos ruled the roost, providing players with exceptional volume and a clear, balanced tone across all six strings. The key to this guitar’s pristine tone is its combination of a solid Sitka spruce top and maple back and sides. Moreover, this guitar’s uniquely arched back design is all but unheard of among flat-top guitar makers, significantly bolstering your unplugged projection. On the opposite end of this guitar’s stout jumbo body lies a comfortable “C”-shaped mahogany neck, topped with a 16-inch-radius slab of pau ferro, then finished off with elegant neck binding. You also get a stage-ready Guild/Fishman Sonitone GT-1 pickup system with built-in volume and tone controls. Big, bold, and utterly unique, the Guild F-250E is a stage-ready acoustic-electric jumbo that’s sure to set you apart from the pack.

Almost Perfect
Bought this from Sweetwater and added their setup. They did it right. I use it only for recording. Intonation is excellent, sound is fat but even for my ears. Perfect at this price for my fingerstyle jazz stuff, except that the 1-5/8 nut is really too narrow, but it's a common spec at this price and I liked the sound so much I'm keeping it. It records beautifully for a solo artist like me who has to cover my own bass lines as best I can. It might be too fat in a studio mix with other tracks. One sad caveat, it has maybe the worst piezo pickup system, I've ever had. I like the discrete preamp hidden in the sound hole, but it will take serious EQ and processing to make it useful on stage.
