My new love
I have been without a 12-string since the bridge broke on my Rogue almost a year ago. I was in love with the new Takamine GD-35CE PW 12-string but it still isn't in stock. I spotted this demo model that was in stock and decided not to wait. It's the quality I expected from a Takamine. I looked at it when it arrived and have not yet even seen the marks noted in the description. The only mark I've found so far was a fingerprint that I wiped off with a polishing towel (may have even been my own).
As far as playing: It came only slightly out of tune and, after having played it everyday since arrival, I have yet to have to re-tune it. The frets are not quite as easy to play bar chords as an electric but a lot closer than any acoustic I've ever owned. The acoustic tone is phenomenal and so far I've only used my Vypyr amp once. Until I decide to take the time to find a setting that doesn't negatively affect the sound quality of the guitar, I'll just play it by itself. In case you couldn't tell, I'm more than happy with this guitar. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality 12-string acoustic.
Black beauty
My new 12 string looks and sounds great. Was our chased for me for my birthday. It arrived on time for the jam session and my birthday.
Worth every penny and then some!
This is an awesome guitar at a great price point. The neck is very comfortable and playable. I don't have large hands so was concerned that the neck may be too wide for me, but I have no problem playing in any position up or down the neck. The tone is great - has that great Byrds-like twang to it. Now that the venues are open again, I have been gigging with it and playing everything from Three Dog Night, to Melissa Etheridge to the Pretenders on it - and it really takes the rhythmn up a notch over my electric 6 string. The onboard tuner is accurate (I've checked to make sure it was calibrated) and really useful to have). The guitar has not slipped out of tune once on me. I don't normally touch the built in gain or eq controls, but they are nice to have for those that want to tweak their sound. It's also really comfortable to hold - not too heavy. There are much better 12 string acoustics out there, but for the money, I think it is a great buy for a great guitar. I do not regret this purchase at all (and my bandmates love it).
My baby
I bought this Takamine to use it how it was intended too to play corridos y requintos and i could say I feel like Ariel Camacho when I play it but overall amazing and beautiful guitar I get a lot of compliments and lastly Arriba Mexico
Feedback from Built in tuner
Built in tuner makes a constant buzzing sound into amp and has to be on for the electric guitar to work.
Very buzzy experience overall.
