Excellent all solid guitar
I wanted a all solid guitar with rosewood back and sides without paying Martin d28 prices.
I read a lot of good things about this and after talking to Tyler Dworak I decided on it.
I'm glad I did as it sounds amazing and the craftsmanship is fantastic!
The guys at Sweetwater had it set up perfectly to my taste. After letting it acclimate to the new climate after being shipped like it said in the directions I picked it up the next day only to find it was perfectly in tune.
Very happy with this purchase and Sweetwater as always were fantastic

Guild D-150SE
I received my Guild D-150SE Natural today as promised from my salesman, ordered on Monday and received it on Friday. I was packed perfectly, double boxed with plenty of padding. It was in a very nice padded gig bag. The guitar was in flawless condition, the neck relief was perfect and the action was set up perfect for my playing style, the finish is perfect, and it was even in tune. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the sales approach, they catered to what I was looking for. The quality of the instrument is impeccable I am very impressed and highly recommend the Guild family to all my musical peers, Thank you.
Excellent Guitar in all ways
I have played Guild Guitars since 1971. This is my 3rd Guild Guitar. I have a D-35, GAD-50, and now this D-150 CE. The tone and playability of this new guitar is fantastic. The look and quality of workmanship is beautiful.
It feels just right in my hand. I appreciate Guilds Saying "Made to be Played". I do 2 shows a week and I play the heck out of my Guild Guitars. I am mostly a strummer with some picking. I usually play 10's on my guitars, but I chose to leave the 12's on this guitar and I am very happy with the feel and tone. The response of this guitar is crisp and clean. For the money, you can not go wrong. I just ordered the hard shell case to further protect the guitar in travel.
Amazing sound and Value!!!
I had been looking for some time to find a solid wood guitar in the $1000 price range which was not easy. I luckily stumbled upon this model. Listening to the bad audio quality recordings online still had this model sounding better than everything else. I found it in a local store and sure enough, it blew all the others away. It plays perfectly, sounds amazing, stays in tune beautifully, and gets so many compliments from my friends at the ways it sounds and looks. I could not recommend this guitar more!
Great Guitar
I just got this guitar and I am in heaven, fit and finish is perfect, intonation flawless, stays in tune, well rounded and defined sound with clear highs, punchy bass, and nice mids. Pick up sounds good, high output on mime.
Super happy with the purchase.
Fantastic Guitar
I am a happy owner of this beauty. It plays very well with low action, perfect frets and perfect intonation across the fingerboard. The fit and finish is excellent, it sounds deep and clear, with a well defined treble and a lush bottom end, with some nice mids. Tons of sustain; it sounds very well also plugged in, with a strong output, it distorts a tad on high volume, use the amp volume instead... Overall a fantastic tone woods guitar, I am very impressed.
Thanks to Ben Knechtly for the great purchasing experience.
big solid
this is my second Guild (F1512 12-String) and the second ever solid rosewood
acoustic. Unamplified, the shape and tonewoods give this guitar extremely detailed projection, with certain strings jumping out. The neck is not shaped for everyones liking, and the openstyle tuners, feel cheap.
This is made in China, and their standards are extremely high. Definitely
big bang for the money.
I'd buy it again !
By the specs this seems like a steal, but... it's just not... sadly
Really wanted to like this, had everything I was looking for, however, the guitar just sounds dead, no life to it at all. I held on to it past the point of returning it hoping I'd like it more. Put new strings on it, but it just doesn't sound good. No bassiness to it, it's quiet, no character. The tuning pegs are not good, they slip like crazy, doesn't sound good plugged in either, but can't tell if that's the electronics or just that the guitar itself doesnt sound great. The action is a little too high and the neck is a little chunkier than I'd like. Not crazy thick, but if you don't like a thick neck you may not like it for that reason as well. Feels cheap and lighter than you'd expect given it's solid wood. Bummer, I'll be selling it at, I assume, a pretty large loss.
