Initially I emailed Quentin Wright my sales engineer and told him that I bought a 12 string guitar and needed a case that would fit it. In less than 24 hours he sent me a few cases that would work. I ordered this one and it fits perfectly. As always, Sweetwater Customer Service delivers. I have never been dissapointed when I order from Sweetwater.
I live in Fishers, IN so Sweetwater is about a 90 minute drive from my home. I love going up there to get my gear but sometimes it just isn't as convenient for the smaller things. So I call or email Quentin and he always comes through for me.

The Gator is built very well and solid. The Yamaha 12 string that I bought from you fits very snuggly in the case. My go to case choice!

This is a very nice case. The FG 820 Yamaha 12 string fits snug and it braces the neck well. The accessory pocket is big enough to fit your cables, strap and such. The hardware is of good quality and it shuts and seals snugly with no tweaking or twisting of the lid. The handle is sturdy and easy to get a hold of. For the home player to the honky-tonk troubadour it is well worth the pricey tag.

My new Fender Redondo does not fit well in the provided (sold to me) 12 string guitar case. I have four other cases that the guitars fit perfectly in. One I bought from Sweetwaters for my Epiphone Les Paul. This guitar case though does not fit right. When I close the lid it still sticks up. I have to force it down to lock it which cannot be good for the guitar. It is ok, I guess but not like my other guitars and cases.

My wife purchased an Alvarez 12 string guitar after being inspired by seeing Dave Mason in concert somewhere in Ohio in the 1970s. Her guitar was housed in a basic cardboard case. It was adequate, but was starting to fall apart with age. As I like to wander around the world with her guitar at my side, I carefully measured the guitar and ordered a Gator case. Perfect fit. This case is excellent quality, in fact, it might be too fancy for what I need it for. Its hard cover does a great job of protecting my new guitar and the fit is perfect.

I just bought one for a epiphone 6 string acoustic electric model aj 200 sce na. Fits nearly perfect for me. But fits to my likeing. Well made case nice inside as well + storage fits strings and some other things as well very impressed with this case. I would recommend this case over wood made cases any day this case i feel will last a life time with normal ware & tear.

Only reason I knocked off 1/2 star is because the accessory compartment is about 75% of the size of my beat-up RoadRunner case's compartment. I assume this is because this Gator case is molded with a slimmer outside dimension compared with the RoadRunner case. However, the guitar itself fit like a glove. I simply had to give up a few extra accessories, like a couple spare batteries (for my pickup) and only one guitar cord instead of two. Yeah, I'm a little "anal" about being prepared for my gigs. Oh, well, I just moved some of the extra bits to my backpack gig bag I also haul around with me. Loving the light weight and the toughness of this new Gator case, though!

Case just arrived. Fits my Takamine Gd30 12string perfectly. Inside compartment large enough for tuner, winder, capo, string set, picks, truss tool. Lining seems thin-ish but plush enough. Latches seem sturdy enough. My case will not see any air travel and for car travel I know the case will be able to withstand my piling on crap on top of it. No funky smell.

It fit my 22 string like a well padded glove!

Very secure case fits the Newport Special. Keeps it secure when not in use. Which it spends very little time in. Well made and love the plush inside.

No issues with QC, so there we no defects. Sweetwater made sure my style guitar would fit before I ordered one. I was looking at the wood style case for a cheaper price but for a few dollars more this has better protection. It was the same price as a name brand wood case that I almost ordered. This is my second gator case and happy with the quality. Just be sure to talk to a tech and ask questions to make sure your guitar fits before ordering. I purchased this case mainly for an older Fender 12 string, but also as a means to transport any of my dreadnought acoustics. This case is absolutely fantastic for my needs.

It's stout, and lined very well. I don't have any intention of flying with my acoustics, so no need for the TSA locks that the newer cases have. Perfect fit for standard Fender/Ibanez dreadnoughts and single cut models. It also holds my Ovation/Applause acoustics well. Will certainly be buying another soon!

Ok case fits my gretsch 5420t (6string)real nice... however it will not fit a epiphone dr-212... so take measurements if you want your 12string to fit this 12string case...

Wonderful case, well built, solid design.
Will not work for an Epiphone DR-212 12 string guitar.
The interior length is too short for it.

I bought this case at the same time I purchased a new acoustic electric at Sweetwater. The case is as described, well designed, and is a good value. Quality control in this line is a bit lacking, though. The first case was missing a pop rivet for the handle. Having a sturdy handle is obviously crucial. (By the way, Sweetwater replaced the original case with no hassle whatsoever). The replacement case had a twist in one of the two straps that keeps the lid from opening too far. This second defect was not a deal breaker by any means, but does raise QC issues about this particular case model. It also cost a rating star. Would I buy another? Sure - you can't beat the price for a molded plastic case.
