Great guitar
Been playing classical guitar for over 40 years, this guitar is an incredible sounding instrument !!
Underwhelming and overpriced.
I was expecting greatness from this guitar, as Yamaha is a quality brand and this is supposed to be a flagship model for them. It is made well and didn't exhibit any flaws other than a mediocre factory setup and an imperfection in the clear coat on the neck heel. String action is very high and not easy to play at all. Tuners at this price point could be nicer. It does not feel like a dollar guitar, an average maybe. Tone is deep but the highs are not very detailed, midrange has a rubbery and uneven quality and it sounds overall like a student model classical, but with deeper lows. Intonation could be better also. Overall it is not at all worth the asking price. It is made well but it's not great. I expect Taylor level quality at this price. The neck on this thing is a behemoth, biggest neck I have ever played for a classical guitar and the small frets and high action don't help the playability. It is a hard classical to play and there are others out there that are much better at this price point. The case was not that great either, at this price point I do expect a hard shell case to protect a dollar investment. I should have gone with the NCX3 which is cheaper and plays easier but there were none in stock. I will be returning the guitar which is a shame because my awesome sales rep gave me an awesome experience purchasing this one, and really went all out for me, it's just not playable for me at all.
not good
I live in S. California, bought this guitar around June, 2019. One and half years later, the Top Wood cracked severely.
