Sweet Takamine tone
I bought this beautiful GB72CE to replace my Fender CB60 that I've been using in a 90's acoustic grunge cover band. My main complaint about the Fender was the low E always sounded dead compared to the other three. This Takamine absolutely blows the Fender away. Clean tone throughout the fretboard and the jumbo body just sings. I have a hard time putting this bass down as it's so fun to play. The three-band EQ plus bass boost works very nicely to tune to the room and sounds great through my Fender Rumble 100. The 34" scale neck makes it feel very close to my electric basses, especially since it has the 'normal' bass strings and not the phosphor bronze. This bass offers a lot of bang for the buck! Shout out to Shaka for dealing with my numerous emails over Thanksgiving weekend. He's the best.
