Long long time ago
Many years ago when I was playing in clubs, I used a pick of the same shape and drilled a 1/8" hole in about the same area to keep them from slipping out of my hand with sweat. Unfortunately, many of them cracked being plastic. Being acrylic and die cut with the holes, I can't imagine it being better.
