Works as it should. Make sure you use the overlay stickers that came with your bass amp if you're using it with the katana bass amp. The controls are a little different than the factory layout

If you have the Amp the foot controller is designed for you will get all the advertised functionality.

It's pretty impressive, controls the Katana's channels and effects. On my gen 3 100w head the channels work great, but the effects labeled on the footswitch don't control the effects it's supposed to, but it isn't hard to figure it out. I'd recommend a better TSR cable, the one it comes with is ok but not too long and not too thick -- it works fine though. As with and Boss product instructions are tiny and vague at best so check out some video tutorials online. Definitely a good buy

This foot control does all that it is advertised to do. It is very easy to use. Your can save up too 8 different sound effects. I've had my Mk ll 100 watt amp for a few years. Just recently found out about this foot control . A great product. You can get on the web and find all sorts of information on how to use it for the sounds you want.

Boss GA-FC controller is a must have for all Kantana Amp models. It is a multi function pedal giving you access to all of the amps effects either individually or as part of the 8 presets. You can also adjust each setting live when using the effect setting on the footswitch. It adds a lot of functionality to the amp with quick switching between modes. It also has 2 additional ports for additional switches or volume/expression pedals. One drawback is a limit of 3 effects at a time but so far I haven't had an issue with that. Well worth the price and a recommended buy.

Unless you set and forget your amp for the entire set, you need this foot controller for your Boss Acoustic Singer Pro or live amp. You can control all the effects, except for the looper, and mute the amp for tuning from where you are sitting or standing. The decals to relabel the switches on the controller for the Acoustic Singer amps is included with the controller.

I unfortunately did not include this purchase when I ordered the Boss Katana 100 MK2. The foot switch saves time and makes for fluent music. The construction is solid and feels like it will last forever. I highly recommend ordering with the amp.

The Footswitch is great. Love it!! My only gripe is that the cable connecting the Footswitch to the amp could be longer. I'd like it to be at least 5 feet longer. 10 feet longer would be great!! For bigger stages, I'd d like to be able to set the amp further back for freedom of movement.

I purchased my GA-FC to use with My Roland Blues Cube Artist combo amp. The Artist amp comes with replacement labels for the controller as it functions differently with the Artist than with the Katana. Sturdy, high quality construction and works great. It switches channels, individual channel boost, Tremolo on/off and effects loop on/off. Only disappointment is that it doesn't control reverb on/off. Reverb on/off function would have been preferred over dual tone switch or effects loop on/off. Still a great addition to the amp's functionality.

Really a nice amp.works geat price is the best part of the purchase.

Love the footswitch! It does what you need it to, is solidly built and pretty heavy for what it is. Holding a live channel switch gives you a significant boost for soloing, releasing your inner 13-year old, or easily bumping up the volume if difficult to hear yourself in a mix. I didn't find myself regretting not upgrading to the EX model. I don't use an expression pedal yet but, don't see the need to have more than 1, for me.

I didn't buy this at first, but after I did - it made a huge difference in the usability of the amp. There are so many accessible options per channel with the pedal.

This with the software makes the amp 1000 times more useful.

NOTE! This image of this amp is incorrect however. It does NOT have a looper. Boss supplies stickers to correct the printing errors that are on the pedal - Hopefully they have corrected the new issues of the pedal.

Setting up was easier than expected

I'm using this with my Blues Cube Artist. I've found this attachment extremely valuable for live performances to seamlessly switch between clean and crunch channels and activate the boost functions.

Great pedal and is easy to use for my 8 presets. If you play live you need this pedal.

Brought my Katana 100 Mk2 alive. Gives easy and excellent access to all effects making playing a pleasure.

If you have a Katana amp, this pedal is almost a necessity. Katana 50s excluded (it doesn't work for them apparently). If you bought any other Katana I highly recommend this footswich.

The foot controller functions differently with the Nextones than it does with the Katanas. It comes with heavy duty stickers that lay over the Katana labels that come factory. From left-to-right you end up with: Clean, Boost, Tone (Bright), Effects Loop, Delay. It would be silly NOT to buy the foot controller if you're using a Nextone, as there are a massive number of sounds you can access through it while you're playing live that you'd have to stop playing and access by push-button otherwise. Additionally, the foot controller gives you volume boosts on both the clean and dirty channels by double-tapping that you can't create with the amp alone, and it lets you create multi-pedal sounds on your board, separate from the amp, that you can access through the effects loop with the push of one switch on the foot controller. My only complaint is that you lose the delay "tap" feature with the Nextones. You can add an additional tap switch coming off the foot controller, or just set the tap manually with the button on the amp top. I didn't like the idea of using the amp button, but so far that's worked fine as I set the tap before a song starts anyway.

After receiving from SW I hook it up and as I started using it and I was amazed how smooth it is to operate my katana 100 amp at a distance , what settings are off I can pop them settings on with my foot

This is a must to have for your Katana amp, after u set your 8 preset settings on your amp to the different sounds u like, and plug this foot controller to your amp, all u have to do to get to your sound setting u have stored is just push the buttons on the footswitch.

This Foot Controller works great, easy to hook up and easy to use after u have set up the sounds on your eight preset buttons on your amp u can access them by just clicking the knobs on your foot switch, a must yo have.

If you own any of the katana amps this is a must have item. Get rid of that pedal board in front of you and grab one of these instead.

Works great with the Katana amps, opens up worlds of flexibility. The switch comes with a straight cable, you may want to order one with a right angle that stays flush to the front side of the switch. IMPORTANT NOTE: Do NOT inadvertently plug the footswitch into the speaker output while you are talking to the drummer. It WILL fry the footswitch. A follow-up on the Katana footswitch I was watching YouTube on getting it installed and a lot of people in the comments were having problems installing it. So I called Sweetwater Tech support. I talked to Nathaniel white and he got it up and running in no time.it really is fantastic So many options and effects wow!! I'm glad I bought it get this footswitch!!and thanks again Nathaniel for all your help.this is why I get only get my gear from Sweetwater.

I recently bought the Boss Katana MK2 amp I was going to use it with my pedals,and with 100 watts,its great for gigs.I went and bought the footswitch and I love it.this is going to work for grab-and-go rig when we practice. Or even a gig (when my band ever gets to play again).There is so much you can do with it .I have been tweeking the effects on this amp .its easy to setup lm going to install the boss tone studio.the options are endless.get this footswitch! This Boss Foot Controller is a must have item if you have the Boss Katana MKII or the Artist MKII. It might seem expensive for a channel switch but its actually more then that. You can turn on and off different effects with it for what ever channel you might be playing on. As always Sweetwater and my sales rep Danny Bennett are the best Thanks a lot!!

I bought this to go with my Boss Katana Artist. Not only does it allow me to change between four different presets, it allows me to turn effects on and off within each preset, and gives me a tap button to set delay tempo. I plugged an FS-5U into the FX jack, and now I can access eight presets! All I need to add now is a pedal for the volume on the GA-FC and another pedal for the expression control on the Katana and will have A simple setup that is much cheaper than a traditional pedal board and sounds great too. It's tough too. It comes housed in a sturdy feeling metal box with heavy-duty switches you can feel good about stomping on.

I have had may Boss Katana 100 MKII for a few months before I decided to get the GA-FC. I highly recommend it if you are looking to open up the options within the Katana. Works great and easily programmable. Switching presets is a breeze.

Yep it is a reliable switching foot-switch.

Not exciting but dependable. Best advice is to read the manual to understand what each of the switches does. I attached a Boss 5 pedal for volume control. The pedal itself is large. Based on that, I may or may not gig with it. It is one of the reasons for the pretty good rating

What was more impressive was the effects loop on the blues cube artist. That is a sonically superior amp addition that is fantastic.

I purchased and had to return due to incompatibility with my Katana Mk2 50. Strange why Boss would do this, as this footswitch matches the Katan controls perfectly.

I really enjoy the effects

I bought a Boss Katana 100 MKII combo and like the features and tone I can get. Decided to get this Boss GA-FC foot controller to make it hands free to access presets and effects. Works great especially for a live application. You can control the boost, modulation, FX, delay, reverb, panel, and presets. If you long hold for 2 or 3 seconds the panel button on the foot controller you can toggle between bank A and B hands free. This is a real plus for live use. It's built very stout and is compact so it doesn't take up too much room.

2 things I don't care for that are minor issues: 1. A short (10') stereo cable that goes between the amp and pedal, and 2. the buttons are not labeled correctly for the Katana. I can get a better, longer cable but it is an extra expense. I can get some label stickers to match the amp functions it actually does. A minor inconvenience. Over all very happy with the purchase as it makes the amp very gig-friendly.

Once you figure the foot controller out it's an awesome asset to the Boss Katana amp. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the instructions are very vague. You have to go to the internet to see how to use it.... but well worth it once you do.

I feel the Boss Katana 100 Mk-II is one of the best dollar values out there for a good sounding amp with plenty of power to spare. It has excellent clean tones as well as different amp voicings and a few mods, but I rarely did much switching before I got this pedal. This pedal does so much it is difficult to explain it all, but I will try to hit the basics. The foot switch has 6 buttons total with 5 of them being dual-purpose. The lights in the foot switch are powered by the GA-FC chord that is included so no battery or external power is required.
With this pedal you have the ability to switch between all the different amp voicing's with a click of a button. Plus, you can hit the "effects" button and it allows you to use the other 5 buttons to turn the effects on or off. The effects button on the end changes the circuitry inside and changes what the other 5 buttons do giving the foot controller the ability to not only switch between the current panel settings and 4 pre-set amp voicing's, but also the effects the amp has to offer as well.
The only thing it doesn't do at the foot switch is change the different colored buttons for the different effect types, so you do have to choose the settings you like for each effect at the amp. The pedal simply switches the effects on and off.
I really liked the Katana before getting this pedal, and I was a bit reluctant to spend $120 on a foot switch , but now that I have it, I just don't think I could do without it. It lets me use features of the Katana at the push of a button that I rarely used before because it wasn't convenient to, plus, allows me to switch from a pure-clean setting to every type of grit and distortion the other amp voicings have to offer without getting up from my chair.
It is a pricey bit of hardware, but is worth every penny in my opinion. It is very well made and has a very sturdy feel and look to it. It is not* a cheap tin box with some switches in it. It is made with quality components and is built like a tank with enough heft to it to stay where you put it. You can see and feel the quality when you first take it out of the box.
It may be the most expensive foot switch I have ever purchased, but it's also the biggest improvement a pedal can be for any amp. Now that I have experienced how much it improves the use of the Katana I can honestly say it is a really an excellent deal for what you get.

This foot controller works great I have two ampsto use it on, a blues cube and a boss acoustic artist. This definitely a great purchase.

I've had this GA-FC all of about an hour and I already Love It! I was using an FS-6 with my Katana 100 MKii, but that was only allowing me to use four out of the channels and no effects addition or subtraction on the fly. I plugged this in, first noticing that NO BATTERIES REQUIRED! It is powered by the TRS cable coming from the amp, so amp on, foot switch on. Love that.

I quickly ran through my channels while connected USB to my computer, and played with changing panel / bank, and channels, then tap on Effects and was able to remove on the fly any effects, or turn them back on.

I also like that these are Momentary switches. They are also built like a tank, and I was expecting a massive CLICK when stepping on them, but they are totally silent and just a spring.

Overall, love this thing. Stupid simple, does what it says, and to me, worth the price.

I ordered the Boss GA-FC foot switch. You guys seem to have everything so far. The footswitch is exactly what I needed. I wanted to be able to use other foot pedals with my Boss MK2 100 watt 212 amp (which I also ordered from Sweetwater because I couldn't seem to get it anywhere else). It works great. I can switch to any tone saved in the amp or the REV G3 pedal that I have. I whipped up a quick homemade pedal board. If I need anything else I will be checking on the Sweetwater website. I have never had a company leave a message for you on your phone after ordering something. Personal service is awesome.

I was a little hesitant about this pedal due to the price, But now I am very happy I got it. Very well made, and it turned my boss katana 100 mk2 into a much more usable amp, What is nice about it I can change effects so easy, don't really need any of my other pedals anymore, get one you will love it.... thanks Sweetwater and Jeff Law, for the advice!

The Boss GA-FC Foot Controller is a much needed item to go along with your Kantana amp. Allows channel switching the four saved presets on the amp and if you have any of the 3 effects (mod, delay & reverb) saved to a preset you can access those at a flip of a switch and turn them on & off right at the footswitch. This is great if you need all 3 or just entertain ones to be on for selected songs. Your not relegated to having all 3 on it off at once but your own personal choice of any combination of the 3 you have saved to a preset. Also when your on the effects more on the GA-FC Foot switch you can also tap tempo your delay effect right at the footswitch. The GA-FC will work with all 100 Watt combo and head versions of either the Mark I or Mark OK series of amps. Boss offers a dedicated add on switch that plugs right into the GA-FC foot switch allowing new users who purchased the new Mark II series that has the options to bank up and down (Bank A & Bank B) allowing them to access all 8 presets on the amp.. Unfortunately the the GA -FC will not work with any 50 Watt versions of the Lantana that only has two save presets on them. Boss offers a footswitch dedicated for those particular amps. Unsure what you need ? Call Sweetwater and speak to a representative for your needs. They'll help you get exactly what you want to meet your needs.

I love this paired with my Katana MK2 100w Head.I consider myself technilogacly disadvantaged and I was able to program and store 8 preset custom sounds and retrieve them with the touch of a foot.No more stopping to tweak my amp and it was easy!I can also say this thing is built like a tank.

By reading all your posts about this panel is definitely getting me eager to figure this out along playing guitar with the Boss Katana 50w so far from what I do have setup with a Epiphone Les Paul seems to work together producing a beautiful sound....I've always been an Ibanez fan for years.....never realize that it was time for a change and please don't jump the gun that I'm putting down another manufacturer...I just may have found what's better for me to play

this controller and the Boss Katana amp go together great. the amp is awesome by itself but combined with the GA-FC controller it opens options you just can't get with just the amp alone.

As usual, built like a tank...I have several CUBE-GX amps...This was purchased for my backup amp...It is different from my original GA-FC...And...I had to re-label several of the buttons but...Oila !...It works like a charm with my 80-GX...Again, the only problem is that they forgot my candy...But...Am old, overweight and diabetic so they're just looking out for my well being,,,Thanks again you guys...Never a problem w/Sweetwater...

This switcher is being used on a Katana 100 v. 1. I use it mainly for switching channels. I did not notice any latency when switching. It does come with a TRS cable to connect to the Katana (molded ends), but I'm going to replace it with a longer one with metal ends. The four-star rating is because you have to switch to get into the effects section and then switch back to switch between channels which is an awkward design. It is metal, appears to be durable, and is lightweight.

This is a must have if you buy the BCA 112 or 212. Love the amp and foot controller Don"t get one without the other.

If you gig, or just want multiple effects / presets - this is a must. You can still use the amp without it but is like having a mini pedal board at your feet.

I purchased the Katana 100 amp head and was blown away by this amp. After purchasing the GA-FC foot switch I love the amp even more. I thought about buying one of the smaller switches but I would have had regrets. The GA-FC makes the amp so easy to use. If you own a Katana amp you want this foot switch.

Bought the GA-FC Foot Controller for use with my Katana Artist Amp. The controller is of solid construction and works well with the Katana. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. I would like controller much more if there were more distance between the foot switches. Also, I thought the TAP LED would blink with the delay time, but it does not.

Wow this is a great addition to my Katana Head!! Plug and play at it's finest to unlock even more awesomeness from this powerhouse of fun. ... and two years added confidence means well worth the price. I'm VERY pleased with this.

I bought this along with my BOSS Katana 100w head, and when I took it out of the box was pleasantly surprised to see that I was not going to have to put the stickers on it, b/c it already had the correct control information printed on it.

The switches all give a good tactile and audible feedback when you push them, which is good. It is well constructed to be able to handle use and the potential abuse that comes with traveling/ gigging/ playing. The TRS cable that is included with it is longer than you might expect, but not long enough to run from the amp to the front of a stage if you were doing a larger show, so that could be an issue (not one for me).

Overall a great purchase, and if you have a 100w Katana, I would say this thing is a must!

I purchased the GA-FC along with a Katana 100W head and couldn't be happier. The GA-FC really enhances the usability of the amp's channels and effects. I could not imagine being without it. The unit is solidly built and doesn't take up a huge amount of space on my pedalboard. And I was pleasantly surprised that it came correctly labeled for use with the Katana. The labels are different than the product photos on Sweetwater's site, but I'm happy that I don't have to use the stickers that came with the Katana. I assume BOSS is now printing a correct version for Katana owners.

When I bought my Boss Acoustic Singer Live (ACS-Live) amp, it came with two stick-on labels especially made for the GA-FC to match up with the ACS-Live functions...but of course, it didn't come with one. I had to order the GA-FC separately. When it came in, I put the labels on it and hooked it up. It worked perfectly, no programming required. Literally plug and play. Two other things: 1) the GA-FC only controls the Guitar channel's Chorus and Reverb, and the Mic channel's Reverb, Delay, and Harmony. It also has a stomp button for the Mute switch, but it does not control the looper. 2) To control the looper, you need to obtain a Boss FS-5U, FS-6, or FS-7. I didn't know if any other brand of unlatched footswitch would work, so I bought the FS-5U, and it controls the looper just fine. (The FS-6 eats batteries and has no option for external power; the FS-7 can run on external power and can be set to latched/unlatched, but the footswitches are oddly placed). 3) the GA-FC came with a 10' stereo cable for connecting to the amp. You don't need to order a separate cable. Very pleased with this purchase!

I bought this footswitch to interface with my Boss Katana 100. Very simple to use with the TS software. The best feature for me is once you set up your "patch", you can go into effects mode and turn the effects you selected, on and off. Very sturdy unit. A must if you want to open up your amp!

Got this a few months back for use with my Roland Cube 40 GX and it works as well as I had hoped. I operate in a vary limited space though and as a result my "studio" and "workshop" are both squeezed into the same area, and one day while I was sitting with my feet propped up on my anvil it decided to go for a ride. It fell of my work bench (about 15" off the floor) right on top of my GA-FC and the only damage was a dent on the far right switch, it still works just fine! My anvil only weighs 34.5 pounds but with a fall from that hight I was definitely expecting more damage. So when you hear people talking about how durable these pedals are you should know that they are definitely telling the truth.

Although this foot controller was designed to be used with the GA-112 and the GA-212, the Katana 100 (the two combos and the head unit, but not the 50W model) was designed to work with it. The buttons take on different functions than the label on the GA-FC, but the Katana comes with decals to fit over the labels to make it specific to the Katana. Physically, it is very solid, and not too large (15.5" wide), and it comes with the necessary stereo cable. The power is supplied by the amp, so no AC nor battery are required. When in the channel mode, you can select one of the 4 saved channels (CH1-CH4) on the amp, plus you can select "Panel" to go to whatever setting the knobs are on the amp currently. If you select the "EFFECTS" button, then you can turn on and off the three banks of effects, and there is also a button dedicated for TAP. Very useful. If you're planning to use the amp in a live setting, it will make your life a lot easier, enabling hands free operation (once you have the 4 channel setting saved). Highly recommended accessory for one of the 100W Boss Katana amps.

This is a darn cool pedal. I bought a demo model for a little cheaper. It's being used with my boss katana 100w. It came in mint condition. I was blown away when I had a call the next day after my order from a sweetwater staff thanking me for my business. I will suggest sweetwater to any friend in the market for music equipment

You step on it, the channels change- that makes it worth the price. The construction is surprisingly solid and seems like it can handle some abuse.

My panel and function buttons are on the other end of the footswitch. channel 1-4 are controlled with the first 4 buttons, not last 4 as it is labeled. works great but can't work with the labels BEING WRONG including the effects labeling..

I was thrilled to find this unit was smaller than I imagined, the small foot-print is a plus. Top quality foot controller,nice and sturdy. Essential if you own a Katana amp. Allows me to choose from the 4 amp channels I created, then allows me to access the individual effects within each channel. The Katana amp series are the Real Deal, and this controller turns my 100 watt head into the most enjoyable playing experience possible. Amazing combination, excellent purchase.

This is a well constructed unit, makes the Katana more awesome. I highly recommend getting this footswitch you will not be disappointed. Having the footswitch helps bring your creativity to a new level. Being able to set up the channels with your effects, then changing your entire sound with a tap of one button. I used to have to do a tap dance on my pedalboard every time, I wanted to change Genre or color. Now I set my channels one tap done ! If you have a Katana you need this footswitch for sure.

Can't say I'm blown away by any foot switch, but I am very happy with this on. I now have remote control over all the things I need to swap instantly. Don't need much more than an echo and maybe a compressor with this and my Blues Cube. Love the simplicity!

Not really rated as blown away as its every thing I expected from Roland gear, top notch. If your getting a Roland this works on (mine is a Cube 80) might as well pick this up and make things real easy. If you want to have a ball you gotta spend a little cash. This makes the amps a ball.

Solid item.....user friendly. I use it with my Blues Cube Artist ( Yes, the new amp from Roland). No pops, no noise........seems very resistant and reliable like all Roland's product. Also, the shipping and the service was perfect. Nothing to declare here :)

The documentation and literature for this foot pedal does NOT mention the Cube 80GX, but the Cube 80 documentation does. My Cube even came with little identification stickers that are meant to overlay on top of the foot pedal itself. Without the pedal it is a pain to switch from clean to lead to solo. With the pedal it's a simple stomp of the foot. Before I had the pedal I rarely used the other modes (lead and solo) Now, I use them all the time. For anyone with a Cube amp I proudly recommend this enhancement. I have no comment for the GA-112 or the GA-212 since I don't own those. But for the Cube 80GX this is the whizzle-schnizzle.

This foot controller is essential for getting the most out of your Roland amp. It allows switching channels for 5 different guitar sounds from clean to saturation + other functions as well. It's sturdy and very functional which is what any professional musician requires in a product.

In a nutshell, it does everything it's designed for and a MUST with any compatible Roland amp. All metal, built like a tank. My reason for the 4 star ratiing is that it seems high priced in spite of all of it's features. Would I buy it again. Yes!

Yep, it's a Roland. It does everything but sweep the floor. I'm an old timer so I find it a little more techy than I'm used to, but I'll grow into it. Hello twenty first century, whoopee!

I bought the GA-FC Controller to go with my Roland Cube 80. It is a solid companion to the Cube. Compact, yet very sturdy. There is no need for all the floor pedals.

Works great; 3 channels (Clean, Lead, Solo) plus 3 effects(choose-Chorus,Flange,Tremelo,Phaser ,Octave) +Reverb & Delay; all switchable with this unit.
