Just purchased this for my new Gretsch 5210-P90 guitar. Nice snug fit which is what I was looking for! Latches lined up nice and overall construction was good. No bad stitching, gluing, or funky exposed staples. Case is made by TKL. New to sweetwater, but I really appreciated the inspection cards left by the staff there. I've received cases in the past that were off center with bad latches. When buying sight unseen it's nice knowing all these items go through an additional QA inspection. George Deng was the sales rep. that helped me out keeping me updated with the overall purchase process. Great overall experience buying from Sweetwater.

Bought this for the bristol fog g5220 electromatic...fits like a glove and dont have any problems with latches as read in other reviews...as with everything i guess u have one slip thru the cracks now and then and i got a solid built case...would highly recommend this case for the g5220...not sure abt other model guitars...

The case is a perfect fit for my Electromatic as well as my G2215-P90 Streamline. I fit everything in my case that I need, and it's roomy enough to hold a strap, cable, tuner, Fast Fret, a few assorted tools, a micro-fiber cloth, 2032 batteries (for the tuner), AND, the kitchen sink (slight exaggeration).

Was looking all over for a case for my Electromatic and Sweetwater came through. She fits like a glove in the hard case. The case itself is great with nice soft lining and sturdy outside.

What can I say. The elctromatic is a particular shape, this case fits it well. Very solid construction, smooth fuzzy lining. Definitely worth it.

For your Jet you gotta have this case. Nothing else fits the guitar right.

Title kind of says it all. I got this for my Gretsch G5220 Electromatic and it fits perfectly just like Sweetwater said. The case seems well made and well padded.

This is a nice case for my 5222. Fits great, no movement at all. Good size storage. The guys at Sweetwater are the best. If your gonna do a world tour then dont buy this case , if you just need to get it from your house to a local gig or practice it will be more then fine.

I like this case because it lets my Gretsch g5655tg fit perfectly. It is also really good quality and I would recommend this to anyone.

After purchasing a Gretsch guitar, I realized I needed protection for it. I contacted Sweetwater and Sara provided me with several options. The case I purchased is a strong, viable case a will serve my need for a long time.

I ordered this case for my Gretsch Elecrromatic Dual Jet. It arrived quickly and in great condition. It was a perfect fit and well constructed. Not a bit of disappointment. The fit is perfect. I recommend using the Gretsch case for that great fit with a Gretsch guitar.

Perfect case for the Gretch 5222!

I recently purchased this case for my 5230t...it was in stock at the store. The case seems to be well made and my guitar fits perfectly. It works for me.

Have had this for less than a month, so can't speak for durability, but the quality is as expected. Latches feel and operate solidly. And the fit is perfect for my newest guitar.

Picked up a used Gretsch solid body with bigsby for almost nothing, looks brand new, belonged to his grandfather who rarely played it. The case that it was in was not made for it and pressed down on the bigsby, and just wasn't like I wanted.
Looked at the Gretsch cases on Sweetwater and found this one it fits my guitar perfectly, lots of room in the case compartment for picks, tuners and gadgets.
The interior of the case is plush lined and cradles my guitar in safety and comfort, I asked it. :)
My Gretsch is like the 6131T but has a gold top, black body and has inlays with the hump in the center on the neck.

I have been looking for a guitar case for my G5230LH guitar. This is the best fitting guitar case I could find. I've called for support at Guitar Center and they suggested to try SweetWater. They said it looks like they have a perfect case for you.The Gretsch G6238FT Electromatic Solid Body Flat Case. I emailed SweetWater with my dimensions and they called me back and said, This looks like the case that would fit my guitar. And it was a great fit. A little room side to side on the body. About a half an inch on each side. So pleased with my case and at a pretty reasonable price. So pleased dealing with SweetWater. And I received my case the very next day! I will be doing business here again.

Fits my electromatic G5438 perfectly and is really solid. Definitely worth the price. The outside and inside look great. The gray color inside is nice. Very protective. It also doesn't weigh a ton. Would buy again in a heart beat.

Nice plush case I've had for an electric guitar - just like the 70's Gretch

Had been holding out on getting a case for my Gretsch G5232T Electromatic because I only practice and play at home with it. Recently had an invite to go with a friend to a jam and just couldn't imagine just sticking it in the back seat unprotected. Emailed Christopher my sales engineer to find out which case would fit and he confirmed the G6238FT was a fit. He had it out the door in a day and in a few days I was tucking my Double Jet in. It fits in the case perfectly. Case feels solid and well cushioned. If I had one request it would be for a lock.

Fantastic case, my Gretsch needed one bad. Now it's ready for the road!!

if you have a g5220 don't look further for a case...G6238ft fits.
like another reviewer stated, a little pricey. the case has good construction throughout. i couldn't find a cheaper case that fits.

I like my case and guitar to match. This Gretsch case is a good fit for my Gretsch G2210

This is a good solid case. It's not as nice as my Fender TSA case, but it fits my G5445t double cut jet perfectly. There are ample latches on it to keep it securely closed, and it appears that it was put together correctly. Definitely a big improvement in protection over a gig bag.

If you need a case that fits your Jet, this is the one to get.

Got this to go with my new Gretsch Electromatic, and feel much safer transporting it to gigs than a regular gig bag. The guitar fits snugly, and the compartment under the neck will hold plenty of your accessories - strings, picks, slides, capos, tuner, string cleaner and cloth ... etc. I also far prefer the shaped case that fits the body, rather than a rectangular case - this take up less room and is lighter. It's a no-brainer.

If you get a Gretsch and really care about protecting your investment, then don't leave home without it.

Of course I had to have the certified fitted Gretsch case for my new Firestick Red G5220 Jet. Very pleased with the quality and the fit. I love the gold Gretsch logo on the lid. I believe it is a TKL manufactured case. I have several TKL cases and they hold up very well. This one cost a little on the high side in my opinion compared to a comparable case like an Epiphone Les Paul case but that's ok. I used my $ bonus bucks to go towards the purchase so it's all good!

Appears to be a well made case that should hold up well. It looks like it may be made by the same Canadian company that makes, or used to, the Gibson hard shell cases. A good fit for the Electromatic Jet purchase. Would highly recommend.

Keeping in mind that another reviewer lamented the fact that a 5135 (Gretsch Corvette/CVT models) do not fit perfectly in this case, it should be made clear that this case was never intended for the 5135 series guitars.

The 6238FT case was specifically designed for the Gretsch JET models, including the 6121, 6128, 6129, 6130, 6131, 6134, plus the old Electromatic Pro Jet series (5235, 5236, 5238, 5245, 5246, 5248), and also the NEW Electromatic Pro Jets (5434, 5435, 5438, 5445, 5448).

All of these models have the same body dimensions, and should fit quite nicely in this case.

The 5135 Corvette/CVT models are designed to fit a Fender style rectangular Strat/Tele case.

The Gretsch-branded cases are actually made by TKL, so if you are familiar with them, you will know that they are of reasonable quality, even at this price point.

Case is a good fit for solid body style guitars from Gretsch. Looks nice, covering is exceptionally thin and have noticed some separations and splits occurring, no way to lock it, hardware and construction is kind of flimsy. Slight step up form a gig bag. Not what I was expecting from a Gretsch product, as my other Gretsch case is solid and well made. However it does it's job.

A friend of mine came by the other day and I noticed something about his Gretsch guitar case, it hung from his hand somewhat level. I quickly put my Jr. Jet in my case and compared. The handle on mine is forward by about an inch. You would not think that would have much of an effect but the balance between the two is very different. Look at the pictures, his handle is almost perfectly level. Mine is tilted and begins to hurt my hand after carrying it for a bit.

There really isn't a way to determine this when buying online and I kinda thought that it was the result of buying an inexpensive guitar. Evidently not. I bought this back in 2022 so I'm stuck with it now but if yours arrives tail-heavy, talk to your sales engineer. It's not supposed to be this way.

Overall, the cases are made well, the padding is great, the storage compartment is a nice size and easily holds a guitar strap, tuner, capo, cord and more. The glue even smells good. But, it appears that there is some quality control issues that sneak through.

Nice case for home or studio use. I don't think it would last very long if playing out and definitely not for touring. I think the hinges will give out after prolonged use.

The case is built very well, nice posh inside, rugged and warm looking. The problem, although minor, is that it's not a perfect fit for a G5135. The body of the guitar does not rest on the base of case, it is lifted by the neck support, which raises the guitar a little too high for a free-closing of the case. The pressure, while small, is on the neck, mostly by the nut...but still, the guitar is held tightly in place. I modified it myself just by pushing the neck support lower. (It seems to be only foam) My Epiphone & Rickenbacker cases, and my cheap Estaban case are like suction fits... This case is obviously for a variety of models. Very nice case, but not perfect for the G5135 I would expect from Gretsch.
