The Cadillac of Guitars
I want to thank Chuck Surack, Justin Dunbar and Chris Ishak for working with me to make it possible to own a Gretsch G613-55GE Vintage Select 1955 White Falcon. This is the fourth guitar I've purchased from Sweetwater and this Gretsch is simply over-the-top opulent in everyway possible. It is a sight to be seen it's ridiculously gorgeous and the fit and finish are impeccable. And, of course it is an absolute pleasure to play. Rich tones and plenty sonic range make it a must have to add to your guitar collection.
Beautiful Looking and Sounding Guitar
I took a chance and ordered this before ever playing one. That chance paid off. I love the bite and snarl of the single coil pickups and the fully hollow design provides a nice bottom end.
Looks Great But Rattles
The guitar looks absolutely spectacular. I was not a fan of the vintage white finish but it grew on me and looks great on this guitar. However, since I have received the guitar, the intonation has been off. But my main struggle has been the D string. It rattles excessively loud when playing the string and the A string rattles when playing a chord. I don't know what is causing it. It could be many things but it makes it super difficult to enjoy playing the guitar. I have other guitars and I am finding myself play this one the least because of the excess rattling. Maybe I just got unlucky with the specific guitar.
