Flip it over and you find a gorgeous natural mahogany finish. I picked this one in particular because the back has incredible grain structure - it's a flawless piece of wood!

I have about a dozen guitars and can promise you there is nothing in my arsenal that sounds quite like it. It's something like the love child of a Les Paul and a Telecaster, with a massive dose of "That Great Gretsch Sound!" sprinkled all over it. The master tone and volume controls work beautifully. The pickups are fantastic. The classic jangle, sparkle, and spank is all there, but you can also get smooth, warm sounds and thick meaty tones. It's very comfortable to play.

Yes, the price tag is a bit hefty, but it oozes quality and tone and is an all-around fantastic guitar.
