Beautiful instrument in many ways

By Walt from Grand Island, NY on February 9, 2022 Music Background: guitarist and keyboardist for more years than I care to admit to publicly

I had previously purchased an Electromatic from Guitar Center almost identical to this guitar Returned it after the first weekend because I was not satisfied with the action, the tones as well as the fact, it would not stay in tune nor did it come with a hardshell case. I then ordered this G-6120TG Nashville from Sweetwater for quite a few more dollars but I figured, you get what you pay for. I had tried to cheap it out with the Electromatic and quickly realized that I would never be happy with it. The Nashville arrived at my house in 2 days! Not only is this instrument a work of art and fitting to simply enjoy looking at it, it plays beautifully right out of the box. The action and intonation was perfect, no additional setup was required. It stays in tune reasonably well considering temperature change going to different environments which is to be expected with any steel stringed instrument. The tones produced by the F-67 Filtertrons exceeded my expectations and were way better than those on the Electomatic. When I pick up this guitar and start playing and I get lost in a world of musical wanderlust and creativity. I just can't put it down. It definitely is a cut above the Electromatic series bigtime. This one is up there with the bigdog Gretsch models. Maybe not quite as deluxe as the Country Gentleman or some of the signature models but it's pretty darn close and the quality of workmanship is meticulous on my new Nashville.

Love this guitar!

By Jim from Long Island, NY on December 27, 2022

When I took this guitar out of the case and strummed it unplugged, I was in love instantly. It's resonant, beautiful, and well made. The fit and finish are excellent, as it should be for an instrument at this price point. Tuning stability was poor out of the box, so I sent the guitar for a professional setup. The nut needed to be filed deeper. After the setup there's a bit of a metallic buzz from the bridge, but tuning stability improved. Both the nut and the bridge probably need some lubricant. I'll do that at my next string change. As for the pickups and overall sound of the guitar plugged in, I love it! These FT-67 Filter'Trons are fantastic, and the tone of the guitar ranges from thumpy when the tone is rolled off to to clear to twangy. The neck is comfortable to play, and the guitar is hard to put down.
