Great Guitar... Great Gretsch Sound
I got the G5220 Electromatic Jet BT in Jade Grey Metallic for Lefty's... It's a seriously high quality guitar.
I've owned a G5230 with Blacktop FT's and it was okay. But the G5220 with Blacktop BT's is amazing. Easily replaces a Les Paul of same quality, and keeps it's Gretsch chime. Will get as clean or as dirty as you want it to.
I expected to need to replace the pots and switches, but nope. The Volume knobs have a good smooth tapered function and doesn't act as a typical on/off switch. The neck is great. Fretwork is great. I take off a half-star because the jack could be better. Fits loose and doesn't grab the cable tightly like a good jack will. And also the tuning pegs feel really small. Other than that, it's a PRIMO Guitar!
