Gretsch G2622T Streamliner Center Block Case - Black Reviews

I purchased this case for my Grestch G2627 streamliner based on the recommendations made by reviewer who posted in the comments section of the Sweetwater product description page on the internet. The case fits the guitar snugly and appears to be well made.

Quality case that my Gretsch fits in snug. I feel that my Streamliner is totally secure and safe once placed in this case.

I recently bought a Gretsch guitar G2627TG but couldn't find a hard guitar case for it and no info about any. I happen to see on line this same guitar and found out that the hard case being used for it was a G2622T. I ordered this case from Sweetwater had it within 2 days. The case fits this guitar perfectly and now my guitar is protected. Really nice guitar case. Thank you Sweetwater for a great product and for shipping it out so quickly.

I picked up a left-handed G2622 a couple months ago, but this hard case was out of stock. When Sweetwater got a shipment, I wanted to make sure that this case would fit the left-handed model. A shout out to Patrick Ortiz, my Sales Engineer, who had someone put a left-handed model into the case at the warehouse (a shout out to whoever did it as well) to confirm there were no issues with the fit. I can attest that the lefty model fits perfectly. The case itself is not expensive (which is why I bought it), but not as high-end as some other cases (they cost more, too). It's perfect for what I need. It's sturdy enough to withstand normal day-to-day use. I appreciate the four knobs at the base of the case that allow it to stand upright in the corner of my home office/studio. Excellent product at a reasonable price and world-class customer service!

Bought it for my G5627. Fits like a glove!

I bought this case for my Gretsch G2622. The guitar fits in the case perfectly and the inside has a good amount of padding. The outside is pretty typical of most hard cases. It is a big case due to the size of the guitar and I wish it had a latch on the backside too, but I haven't had any issues with the case coming open. It is a good case for the casual player who night take it out every once and a while. If I were a gigging musician who was on the road all the time or taking it on airplanes, I would opt for something a little stronger.

got this case for my G2622 and it fits quite well. the insides are plush and keep my guitar well-protected. i use it primarily for home storage (and to keep pet hair off the guitar). i have not traveled with this case so i can't attest to its durability for that use, but there are only 3 latches and they don't seem super sturdy. if you're a traveling musician, i'd say go with a tougher case with stronger closures. but this case is well-suited to my needs and usage, so i'm giving it 5 stars.

I just recently bought a Gretsch g2627t. I was looking for a hard case for it but couldn't find a case specificity for my model Gretsch. I called Sweetwater and spoke with Brandon Flynn. Brandon did some research and told me the case for a g2622 would fit my guitar. The guitar case arrived on time and boxed so well, I don't think it could of been damaged if you tried . I'm a beginner to playing guitar and when doing some research I had heard about Sweetwater from some friends. Because of Brandons help, I'll be shopping at Sweetwater again.

Fits guitar well

I talked with a representative of Sweetwater about getting a hard case for my Gretsch G2627T Streamline. He had me take the measurements and this case was as close as we could come. It works, and I appreciate his help.

I own the G2627 and like I've seen a lot of reviews say, it basically supports the guitar at the 8th fret. An old shirt or small towel can go in the back end to balance out. Plus, if the case is on its side I guess the neck isn't really taking too much weight.

The case works just fine as a protective layer for my guitar. However, it's really heavy and inconvenient to carry around, and I don't think the materials look as durable as other cases. The guitar doesn't completely fit well inside the case, especially the Bigsby tailpiece and the cutaway, and I feel like the neck is the only thing that's resting correctly inside, but that may just be my perception. The case is roomy and I really like the compartment space and ease of access. Overall, I might have gone with a different case, but this is the only one that my guitar is supposed to fit.

Has more than and inch of movement. Not a snug fit. Enter "case finder" into the search field and you can use a tool which will help show other certified fits via Sweetwater. Sometimes the case w the logo is not the best choice. :)
