Combo Amp Case for Single 12" Models with Sturdy Wood Construction and Foam Padding

If you're a gigging guitar player, you've had this problem for years: how do you take your combo amp on the road without damage? The new Gator G-112 Guitar Amp Transporter is the solution. This road-tough case is built with a 1/2-inch wood interior frame covered in 20mm military spec foam, with a tricot interior lining and a 600 denier nylon outer cover. The G-112's heavy-duty wheels and pull-out handle make the transporter a dream to move over long distances. Rugged web side handles make carrying over rough terrain easier, and an external pocket holds pedals, cables and gear. The G-212 is made for twin 12-inch amps, while the G-112 handles single 12-inch models. Your amp is safe at last!

Solid, Easy & Capable!

By Dennis B. from Oceanside, CA
Music Background: Guitarist & Game Sound Designer

Oddly, this is my favorite new piece of gear, and I have two of them for my stereo pair of Fender Hot Rod Deluxes. They fit the amps pretty snug as is, but I do use a couple small pieces of 2" foam just to make them completely snug inside. The built-in padding and wood feels like it provides plenty of protection for local transport, and the zippers feel pretty hearty. The side handles, wheels, and telescoping trolly handle are all pretty robust. The front pocket is nice and roomy for cables, etc. The best part is stacking the amp on top of the case while playing, and it surprisingly feels like a very solid platform. This definitely works well as a next-best option if you're not needing a flight case.

JUST NEED ONE THING

By Chim R.

Its bulkier than you'd expect and doesn't fit through small doorways so you have to shimmy it sideways. Doing that with an amp inside gets old fast. I don't use this anymore for gigging and its now a glorified amp stand in my home. If it had 4 spinning wheels with two that could lock on the pouch side, this would be perfect. You'd be able to wheel it sideways through tighter spaces. This would be a home run with that one change.

Mr. Riley Koenemann.

By Eric T. from Billings Montana
Music Background: Been playing guitar over 40 years.

To whom it may concern. I've dealt with Riley now for a couple of years now and I just want you to know how much I appreciate his help and support he has given me over the years. Sure I could go down to my local Music Store and get what I need, but that is the point. He is the reason I deal with SweetWater and I would not have it any other way. He is a asset to your company and is always helpful and understanding. He is awesome in his duties and understanding and I just wanted you to know that. From my order, to shipping, to delivery, He has been there for me. A true professional from start to finish. If there is anyway whoever is reading this that you could please do a shout-out to Riley from me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank-You from the bottom of my heart.

P.S. One of the things on my bucket list is to visit Sweetwater and thank him personally.

Gator G-12

By Lou C. from Odessa, NY
Music Background: Have been playing out for 60+ years...

Built really well...Even a little larger than I anticipated...Works great...There's room for everything...The only thing I found wrong with this order/shipment is that they forgot my candy...But...My wife says that's okay because I'm diabetic...Have been dealing w/Sweetwater a long time now...Never disappointed...

Sturdy and worth it

By Lisa R. from San Francisco, California

Durable and fits my fender amp well with room to spare. It weighs more than I thought it would, but I am still pleased with the purchase.

Gator G-112

By Sweetwater Customer

Have 2 of these cases and they do protect the amps/speaker cabs well without the added weight of an ATA case. The reason for my 2 star rating is the handle assembly's came apart on both cases, they are weak so you have to be extra careful with them. In addition the plastic bottom feet also broke on both cases, probably part my fault from loading them into my truck but they are thin plastic and will not take even a slight knock or punishment. Still using them but had to order spare parts 2 times now.
Will add Gator didn't charge me for the parts either time so good customer service.

Awesome case

By Carl from Phoenix

I have two of these cases and they are great. Not only does this case act as a transport but it is a great have my amp off the floor. I would recommend this case to anyone who wants to protect their amp. With all the shows and practice it definitely holds up to all the travel.

Very nice build quality, wanted something with wheels to more easily move and protect my 65 fender deluxe reverb reissue

Protected my 68 Custom Deluxe Reverb

By Lightning R. from Texas City, TX

Excellent. Just a little bit bigger than my CDR. I asked Ryan Grostefan to pack my amp into this before it shipped, and sho nuff! It showed up without a single problem. I really dig this case, my amp sets up nice on it, i like the little retainment walls on top. the front pocket is convenient from my amp pedal and my mic. I love having something substantial to protect my amp. only plus is it couldve had two more wheels and all pivot. not much for rolling my amp like a suitcase, i like the caster feel more. but this is a GREAT investment to protect your amp and give it something to sit on while you play.

Great concept, wish it would catch on.

By TM from LA, CA
Music Background: Engineer

For the money, I think this is a great option. I wish that other companies would start making something like this too. This could be built a little better, the wheels aren't the best, the handles a little flimsy, and its overall look isn't very impressive. Having said that, if you're a gigging or touring musician, you should consider this before you consider buying a custom hard plywood case for your amp. There are numerous benefits to this design. A) It wont slide around as much in your truck/car/van/trailer B) If it bumps into something or vice versa, its cushioned to protect everything. C) Its MUCH easier to fit into tight spaces because it gives, you can stack it, and its a lot lighter than a plywood case. D) You don't have to think about where to put it when you're setting up. Its not in the way, and in face, it makes small amps look a little more impressive on stage. I know it seems like an ATA case is really luxurious and looks like a million bucks, but think about bottom dollar, pros and cons.

Go In Style

By James A. from Battle Ground WA
Music Background: 40 year Pro Musican

I received the Gator G 112 for my new Fender Mustang II. It was delivered fast. I ordered it on a Monday, and it came before the gig on Friday. The case is first class! It is larger that the Mustang II, but after adding extra padding it holds the amp, plus my Behringer Xenyx 802 Mixer, Ultimate Support GS-55 Guitar Stand, On-Stage Music Stand, and my Music Book all snuggly. The pocket in front holds all my cords, pedals, and stomp boxs. The extendable handle is solid, and makes moving the case around a breeze. The case is solid and weather proof. Get this case, and you will go to your next gig in STYLE !!!
