Best Guitar I've ever owned and played!
After years of playing mostly Taylors and Martins, I wanted to try something different ... as close to a Martin "type" guitar with more value for the money. I saw Doyle Dykes playing this beautiful on YouTube and I decided, after viewing other Youtube videos and doing research on Godin Guitars, to buy the best Godin Guitar with Spruce and Rosewood. It arrived in Flawless condition in perfect tune! Couldn't believe it! After 3 moths of playing and practicing on this instrument, it's STILL in TUNE! Unbelievable! I am truly impressed with the workmanship, the fretboard is Richlite and I LOVE it! Easy to clean and very smooth! It has a very "Martini" sound to it; what is to be expected from a Sitka Spruce and Rosewood Back and Sides guitar. The price alone is in my opinion a great value compared to what other guitars would go for. Beautiful fretboard width too and LR Baggs! Best Pickup system I've ever had! Love it!
I don't care that the neck is a set neck and epoxied. One less thing to worry about. I take care of my guitars and that's what matters most. I am a stickler for proper humidification and just the fact that these are Canadian built is good enough for me. Having a guitar which I don't have to retune and plays like butter is wonderful.. The case it comes in is easy to carry and light, yet tough and TIGHT! I am very very happy with this purchase and may buy one one. Thank you Chris Jenkins for your help and especially in your excellent service and followup.
