I make various electronic and plunderphonics which lends itself to a sequenced sample based DAW like FL Studio. FL Studio is great for that. I love all the stock effects and instruments it comes with as well. It is a great program if you make this type of music.

I bought this for the sole purpose of extracting stems into separate tracks. Unfortunately, the only choices you have are vocals, bass, drums, and instruments. So if you're interested in pulling out a guitar track, fuggedabout it--you're gonna get the guitars and every other instrument in one track. I'm sure someone's working on a better algorithm, but for now, it is what it is. That said, FLS does an outstanding job as far as current technology. The stems are clear, not muddled, like some other standalone software out there.

As far as the rest of FLS, the software has a very steep learning curve. Don't let the videos fool you; it takes a LOT more fiddling to get even the simplest things done. A lot of small things annoy me, such as the FILE/IMPORT dialogue. Why are MIDI files the only things you can import? Most DAWs allow one to import most file types. Want to open a WAV or MP3 file? Nope. You have to drag it onto a track. If there's a simpler way to do such mundane tasks, I haven't figured it out.

Bottom Line: If you're just starting out in digital recording look for a simpler DAW. FLS is too cluttered with all kinds of gadgets and menus that will cause a lot of grief. It did me, and I've been recording for 40 years.

The bass was a Christmas present, and for us, a lot of money. Evidently this guitar has a battery area that doesnt make a good connection as we went online to try and figure out why our brand new 9v batts weren't working. So we had to put cardboard in there to make it work. We also had a loose knob. I dont want a brand new instrument having anything wrong with it! Not to mention, sending it back would have been a headache. We fixed the knob and are dealing with the rigged battery compartment. The case we got with this is fantastic, though.

A very fun and useful piece of software .

I have used FL Studio for quite a few years now, and just recently purchased the newer edition. First of all, Sweetwater is great, in that they provided some introductory video lessons with helpful tips and tricks for the newer edition of FL Studio and that is helpful as some features have changed or look different. Second, I have made several songs with the 2024 edition and it is great! The Producer edition comes with many instrument packs in the FLEX plugin that I routinely use and it is just what I need to produce the great variety of songs that I produce. Finally, I would highly recommend purchasing the Producer edition as it has everything you need to produce music from the start!

I read that it's impressive recording software but I wish I was able to download it on my asus laptop without turning off windows s.

I've had this and logic and honesty I can say that logic is the better program. It's cool until your working on something for longer than an hour then it starts to mess up n lag behind killing all motivation to create. I thought it was my computer but it is indeed the program. As I'm writing this now I've been trying to pause the program for a good 5 mins before it paused. Update or whatever because I'm thinking about switching to something else

U tube will help alot for beginers. The product so far has been good. I'm actually liking this version. It has all you need ti get started.

This thing is crap. You can either monitor the output of the unit but can;t record, or you can record but not hear the unit output,(kind of makes it tough). It won't do it with asio4 all, nor will do it with flstudio asio, ( well, you kind of can, but the latency on the guitar is so great, that you can't... worst daw evr, and I know I have wasted MORE than enough time trying to make it work.

Best software for recording I've ever used!

I do not trust software that does not come via hard-copy. I was really dissatisfied to find that I had purchased a 'download only' software application. The environment was extremely unproductive because everything (the tools, etc.) felt so hidden.

you are getting a fully functioning daw for low cost here. included plugins work well and no issues so far.

This is a creative way of composing I have used cubase almost from its inception and I find fl studios very inspiring a learning curve yes but it is worth it thumbs up it is wonderful for beats and hip-hop

I just want to download FL Studio, becasue I bought it and it is still not here, I legit want my money back so bad this is straight bs.

I own the producer edition and I will be upgrading when I have the cash. This program is completely capable of anything you want, the community is excellent and the creators are incredible and listen to your feedback. I would sink every bit of cash into it again. Love FL, its a part of my history and I will always choose this program as #1. Die hard FL fan!

I'm completely new, but I've tried a few different DAWs (Reaper, Tracktion, Acid Pro, Digital Performer) and sure enough, FL Studio lives up to its reputation of being the easiest for beginners. That being said, it's still a very full featured DAW covering any scenario my fledgling skills might require.

Just because it has a reputation on some forums for being the easiest don't think there's not a learning curve. There's definitely a learning curve but once you wrap your head around it the Software produces great sounding results.

I don't regret playing with the other DAWs, but if you're going to jump in somewhere, I suggest starting your DAW journey here.

I finally got the edition to work on my projects whenever I get the chance to. Doing the monthly payment was a very easy choice to make and super happy I own FL studio

After years of using the cracked versions of every recorsing software you could think of I found myself using FL Studio the most. I did my research of the different ways to buy it and decided a quit unlock buy from Sweetwater would work just fine. At first I made my purchase and waited...the email explained it would be within a few minutes I would most likely get my confirmation email with code. Unfortunately somewhere down the line I found out later from Sweetwaters representative that they needed to verify my card info. It was most likely just me hitting one key wrong or something. The point is Sweetwater emailed me, took time to dive in and find the problem, called me back to verify the info, and had my code to me ASAP. Ever since then they are my go to for all my music needs. As far as the product itself...I bought a download code and they got it to me. Works great and Ill always have the new FL Studio for life. Recommend buying FL Studio once so you never have to deal with cracked stuff or worry about new updates.

I think this Daw software is great it's worth it. I only think that if you don't have past experience with making music you will have to learn a lot of things for the quality you want to produce depending on what you want. I really like the program and have made 3 beats since I started. I do plan to make many more and fulfill my music desires with this program.

I'm at the beginning stage but I'm starting to love it. Very user friendly with the help of a few YouTube videos.

The only reason I use fl studio 20 is because it is the only version supported on mac. The mac version is very buggy (laggy when connecting to external monitor, midi import problems, weird glitches etc).
Also beware fl studio mac edition might crash upon export. It happens very often to the point where my mac is unusable and I have to work on my old pc.

Problem 1: Midi Import

On mac it doesn't even load up the midi and on pc it open flex which is probably the worst sounding synth I have ever heard.
On fl 11 it opens normally.

Problem 2: Unreliability

Crahses on export very regularly. Tested over daws with same plugins and all of them are fine

Problem 3: It laggggs

At least on mac it lags and has bugs that are break your workflow and generally annoy you.

Bottom line: if you are on windows by your copy of fl studio and download fl studio 11. If you are on mac, don't buy.

You get exactly what you pay for. You'll love what you find. Whenever you want more for your DAW, FL Studio remains compatible with practically every VST and plug-in out there (especially the free ones :) )

So I got FL and I gave up on it. It wouldn't let me play the song I spent many hours on and don't let me record with Universal Audio Apollo twin quad thunderbolt.

I tried my best to find a way to solve the problems. It made me waste so much time.

I decided to buy Ableton and don't have any problem with Ableton.

A bit new to using FL Studio, but pretty happy with it so far. I've used a few other DAW's, and found some of them a bit confusing for noobs like myself.

The more you do something, they better you get at it....so trying to learn the ins and outs of this software.

My biggest issue is with the latency when I try to monitor it through the DAW and not directly via my USB interface(Scarlett 2i2 Gen 2). I've seen some video's showing how to set up my PC to maybe mitigate this, but have not tried them yet.

Biggest factor to me in this purchase was the lifetime updates.....don't mind dropping a wad of money on something that will be updated....

I would recommend this software especially over some others I have used in the past.

I'm loving just about everything with this program. My only complaint is that it's some what to add 3rd party plugins. And it's difficult to tell what channels they are on. Other than that it's pretty good

I am more then satisfied with my product. I originally purchased the wrong software and SweetWater allowed me to exchange without the price hike. Definitely a happy camper.

Experience with Sweetwater was, as always, exceptional. Download option is very fast. The producer edition is the way to go if you are looking to record external audio. It comes with plenty of plugins to keep you busy for a while. Whether you're new to recording or have been at it for while, this software has a pretty quick learning curve. There are a ton of great videos on Youtube that can walk you through about any imaginable process you can't figure out on your own. The owner manual is also very useful. I've experienced others that just don't have the kind of functionality that FL Studio has. I know that's a weird thing to harp on, but when it comes to DAW's there is a ton of information to get familiarized with and FL Studio crushes it with their ability to explain complex procedures through text and video. Also, you can't beat a lifetime of updates.

This is a great DAW with a lot of power. Once you get the hang of this software you will be able to get anything from ideas to completely developed songs down quick and beautifully. I completely recommend this DAW.

It's an amazing program with so many things to it, perfect for creating any kind of music you want. The only problem I have is how confusing finding things you want and learning how to do some things. Other than that, it's amazing!

About FL Studio: It is rightly considered one of the best DAWs out there! I bought the Producer Edition, which covers exactly all my needs. It is considered one of the easiest DAWs to start with, but at the same time it can go really deep for experienced users. There are 4 editions (with different prices of course). If you are planning to buy VTS plug-ins from other companies (i.e. EastWest, Garritan, IK Multimedia, VSL, etc), then I absolutely recommend the Producer edition, that's all you will ever need! The two more expensive editions have mainly more and more plug-ins to offer, while the cheapest one is quite limited (it lacks essential features).

One the best programs out there for music creation! Worth every penny

Made improvements to FL Studio 12 and is overall a great product and easy to use.

The thing that really stands out about FL studio is the lifetime free updates. They were not kidding. I started on windows and this was my 1st Daw. I loved making music with it. But when I switched to Mac it wasn"t really compatible. So I learned a lot of other Daws and got use to them. And here in 2018 they finally release a Mac OSX version and guess who still had lifetime free updates. I downloaded on MacBook and things run really smooth. I will be honest, my personal opinion is that FL studio is really good for composing music and beat production. But I will bounce out into Studio One 4 and record my vocals, mix, and master. Overall FL studio can do it all, it all depends o. Preference. But this has honestly been a great investment! Thank you Image-Line Team. You were there when I started and your still with me now!
