Wasn't disappointed at all!
I also have their EQ which is
Mix saver!
One of my better investments!
As useful a tool as I have used
Like the title says, this is an amazingly useful tool. From tightening up the lows on a bass, punching up a kick, controlling a splashy hat, or getting an acoustic to sit right under vocals, etc etc etc, Pro-MB makes it easy!
I have yet to plumb the depths of all the functionality (and there is a ton of it), but straight out of the box, it was easy to use and understand. Added bonus, it sounds very natural even when pushed hard.
It can be hard to justify plugin purchases sometimes, but not with the Pro-MB, I find myself tackling issues I would have never though to use a multiband comp for.
Happy!

Very easy to use with pinpoint accuracy
Whoa..
I have this and the Fab-Filter Pro Q.. With these two plugs, you can do some serious shaping with basically no coloration and definitely no artifacts. If you're running your signal through thousands of dollars of hardware, why color your sound or risk artifacts with plugins that cost a few hundred? Seems weird to me... Unless you use the UA plugs..
Anyway, the Pro-MB might be the most versatile plugin on the planet right now... If it cost $400, I would've bought it.. Seriously. It makes other multiband compressor plugs look like toys.. Think of it as a dynamic EQ with wings, a jet engine and stealth capabilities..
I've used it the most on acoustic guitar and vocals.. The things you can do with this on acoustic guitars is almost mind blowing. You can basically flip a guitar inside out.. Take the weakest part and make it the focal point.. Drive subtle harmonics to the surface and calm the brightest string strikes... Even enhance the stereo image.. Again, with no noticeable coloration and definitely no artifacts.. If I could only use one plugin the rest of my life, it would be a coin flip between the Pro-MB and Lexicon reverb plugs.
FabFilter Pro-MB hits it out of the park.
leave it to FabFilter to come up with a multi-band dynamics processor plugin that thinks like a Sound Engineer giving total control with Downward Expansion or Compression in either Stereo or the preferable Mid/Side mode where the lower frequencies can be panned Mid where they belong.
The library of presets for just about any track or bus offers a great starting point while the multi-band design allows one to equalize a mix dynamically based on temporal content without phasing issues common with other Multi-Band plugins. I also found it very useful for mastering as well.
FabFilter offers a 30 day trial of all their high-end plugins but be warned, their utility will make them a must have.
Its Fabfilter.
Exactly the quality plugin you expect from FF. If youre nee to MB compression, this can be a little daunting with all its features. But there are plenty of free learning resources available on YouTube, etc.
