Tech 21 Frank Bello Street Driver 48 Signature SansAmp Reviews
Anthrax’s Frank Bello discovered his first SansAmp many years ago while hanging out on 48th Street in Manhattan’s Music Row. He and the folks at Tech 21 are proud to bring you the Frank Bello Street Driver 48, a sonic homage to the energetic tones that anchor every Anthrax arrangement. Frank designed the Street Driver 48 to be simple and easy to use. You’re not going to find a thousand knobs and switches here! The simplified controls are a big hit at Sweetwater because they make it super easy to get an excellent sound right out of the box. And when you need a little extra nastiness, hit the Dirt switch for more gain and overdrive. Meanwhile, the Filth switch adds in extra top-end sizzle and clarity that emphasize the attack. The Street Driver 48 even comes with all-analog Tube Amplifier Emulation technology to inject your signal with greater realism than ever. Whether you’re looking for the perfect level of dirt for metal and prog rock, the Tech 21 Frank Bello Street Driver 48 signature SansAmp can make it happen.

Awesome dirt pedal!!
I absolutely love this pedal! Tech 21 has done it again and blown it out of the park with this one. I find I get amazing depth and bass while using either the Filth or Dirt buttons. There's a large range as well, from low gain to high gain grind. It definitely gets nasty if you want but can also be tamed to an extent. I use this stacked with my YYZ pedal and they are a perfect match. The Street Driver 48 is one of the best Bass Drive pedals I've used!
Not what I thought it was going to be
Added this to my pedal board to replace another DI and for drive.
Noticed that Dirt and Filter were extremely driven, which was what I wanted but most of the low end disappeared. It was also extremely noisy. I could not find a good volume for when this pedal was not engaged.. I was constantly changing the volume of my instrument to cover for it. Not good in a gigging situation.
