Excellent guitar, meh case

By Paul Dispenza from FORT WAYNE, IN on March 5, 2024 Music Background: Amateur musician (for the love of it!)

I love this guitar, especially when considering its price. I don't know a ton about playing guitar, but this one sounds nice, looks nice, and works great! No issues except the gig bag it comes with. It helps prevent little scratches, but you'll want something much tougher if you plan on bringing your guitar anywhere.

Fender FA-115 Dreadnaught Acoustic Guitar Pack Purchase

By Doug Rand from CA on January 29, 2024 Music Background: Listener

I have long wanted to play the guitar but as I am 72 years old and have never played a musical instrument of any kind I thought time and opportunity had passed me by. I had some changes in my life that made me reconsider and so I began to look into the best way to start. In doing my "research" I decided that while price of equipment would be a consideration in any purchase, quality of equipment would also be a major factor. As I looked around, the one name that kept coming up was Sweetwater for both selection and price. I contacted them and got a return call from one of their "Sales Engineers", Kyle Sorenson. I questioned him at length about what I should be looking at half expecting him to steer me towards the higher end apparatus with all the bells and whistles. Instead, he was honest, straightforward and genuinely concerned that he make the experience of learning to play as pleasant and rewarding as he could. (He also didn't want to sell me on an expensive door stop should I lose interest.) Under no pressure at all, we decided that the Fender FA-115 Dreadnaught Guitar Pack would fit my criteria best. To be honest, I did compare prices at several other sources and while I could have gotten the basic guitar for less, that price difference was negligible. In addition, some of the other retailers did not have the "package" Sweetwater had to offer and when you included those items as individual "add-ons" to the purchase, Sweetwater's deal was as good, if not better than any of the rest. All of that led me towards Sweetwater, but what closed it for me was dealing with Kyle and the service he provided and, I am convinced, will continue to provide. No one else I contacted came close to giving me the confidence that I now have the best chance to succeed. For all the reasons: selection, quality, price and service I made the purchase. The rest is up to me but it's nice to know I have the continuing support of Sweetwater.
