Cordoba F7 Flamenco Nylon String Acoustic Guitar - Natural Reviews

6-string Nylon-string Classical Guitar with Cypress Back and Sides, European Spruce Top, Mahogany Neck, and Pau Ferro Fingerboard - Gloss

Enjoy great flamenco tone and handbuilt quality with the Cordoba F7 nylon-string flamenco guitar! The Cordoba F7 is a fine value in a nylon-string acoustic guitar. The handmade F7 sports cypress back and sides with a European spruce top, for vibrant tones with a lively presence. The body depth is the thinner Spanish flamenco style, for a snappy and bright sound. The solid mahogany neck provides excellent sustain and detail, and is set at a flat angle to give you low string action for excellent flamenco playability. No matter what your experience level, you'll love the attention to detail of the F7. And with the gloss polyurethane finish, cypress binding, and a stylish rosette, the Cordoba F7 looks as good as it plays.

5 years in

By Michael K. from Appleton, WI

So I bought this guitar in 2020 during lockdown. The extra time meant time to start playing again. I studied flamenco guitar performance as my undergraduate major years ago as well as in south France and in Andalucia. I have a nice instrument from Valencia (not one of the mass produced ones) but it needs expensive work. Thought I'd get something like this to ensure I'd commit before spending the money for the work. Well I never did get that work done. Been playing the F7 since. It's a solid guitar. It sounds good and playability is impressive for a $ guitar. In full disclosure I don't play out or test the limits of its volume but for home playing I'm more than impressed. If you want a flamenco guitar and don't want to spend a lot just yet, this is a SOLID option.

Cordoba F7

By David H. from Albuquerque, NM
Music Background: 65 year acoustic fingerstyle blues; new flamenco player.

That I haven't stopped playing it for the last two weeks should tell you something! For a flamenco beginner or a thrifty player, the F7 is a perfect choice. Tone is great, action is excellent and it's adjustable too. Oh, and it's a looker too.

Great For Jazz

By Kirk
Music Background: Jazz, Classical, Blues, Classic Video Game Music

I know it's weird but I prefer to play Jazz on a Flamenco guitar and this Cordoba F7 does the job perfectly. It has a slightly thinner neck and lower string action than a classical guitar which makes playing faster licks easier.

Beautiful Guitar

By Greg N. from Indianapolis
Music Background: Recreational player

I've had this guitar for a week now and can't put it down. I play mostly fingerstyle acoustic blues and bought the Cordoba F7 to add a different flavor to my sound. I preferred the lower action of the flamenco to the Cordoba C7. The F7 was flawless out of the box and the set-up and intonation were perfect. For the price, this guitar is a steal.

Completely Happy

By Matt from LOS RANCHOS, NM

I had been stage hand for my daughter's Flamenco dancing for years, and decided it would be fun to get in on some Flamenco guitar playing. The tone is bright, and the lower action makes it very playable for someone who is not quite a beginner, but hardly an advanced player. I like the thinner body, and overall it is very lightweight. The finish is gorgeous. Besides the guitar, the packaging from Sweetwater was just amazing. I was a little hesitant about buying an instrument online, but they took real good care of getting the instrument to me in perfect condition.

Amazing Playability and Sound

By Sweetwater Customer

I was stuck between the Cordoba C7 and the F7 and I decided to get the F7. I don't regret this purchase at all. I'm not a professional or anything like that, I mostly play as a hobby and nothing more. I bought this guitar on impulse because I already had two other guitars, a steel string and a hybrid nylon, but I always wanted a real traditional nylon guitar. Right out of the box, the guitar is beautiful. It was nicely polished and I've never seen such a clean guitar. The sound is bright, loud, and I love it. The strings are pretty low which I expected in comparison with a classical guitar. That's one of the main reasons I chose this over the C7. I really like the thinner body, lower action, and spruce top. There isn't more I can ask for especially for the price I bought it at.

Cordoba F7 - Great value at great price

By Joel

I own several Cordoba classical guitars, but this is my first flamenco guitar. As I expected from Cordoba, the guitar looks and sounds great. The action is low and fast. The neck has a great, slim feel. The guitar is lightweight but has a good balance. Overall, I'm satisfied. For the price, I think the F7 is a great deal.
