Everything sounds great through this puppy!
I have to say, WOW! If you're looking for a technical review, there is very little point in it. Technically, it's all documented. Sonically however, not much out there in Youtube land etc. So, I thought I'd pick one up and if the engineers at the studio liked it we'd keep it. Now, they're talking about replacing "the other" tube pres we have in our 500 series racks and replacing them with these guys. I have to say, BLOWN away by this little beast. Very well done Fredenstein! Just beautiful.
Smooth response and excellent headroom
I've had one of these for a few months now, in a Bento 2 chassis, along with the matching compressor. I've had great results using it on vocals. I haven't had the opportunity yet to try it on anything else, but I'm looking forward to it.

I Use With Bento 2
I Also Have a Red 1 But Of Course The Two Preamps Are Diffrent. In Many Cases I Use This Preamp For Km 184 And I Get Very Good Results
