Cordoba Esteso SP Nylon-string Classical - Natural Reviews
The Cordoba Esteso SP classical guitar represents decades of traditional lutherie from a company committed to offering players classic design elements and tone, as well as modern refinements. An homage to one of Spain’s most revered luthiers, Domingo Esteso, the SP benefits from the painstaking design research and build techniques that went into classical guitars that are to this day considered some of the finest ever made. The Esteso SP features a solid European spruce top with solid pau ferro back and sides for a gorgeous blend of punchy treble, robust midrange, and full, warm low end. This tonewood combination lets single notes and rolled chords ring fully, and the fast, even decay of each tonal expression means an uncluttered harmonic performance — ideal attributes for classical guitar. The stunning mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard offers amazing response and smooth playability for exploring the intricate techniques inherent to playing classical guitar pieces, from complex chordal forms to fast scale runs that move up and down the neck.

Wonderful Instrument
Outstanding guitar from Cordoba. I have owned a Gypsie Kings FWCE from the original production run in 2001 and that guitar gets used almost daily until now. The Esteso is super playable with the smaller body and has a very present tone which will (with time) mellow somewhat as the guitar opens up. It was a pleasure dealing with my sales associate Christie who advised me on the very subtle differences between the three Esteso models in stock at the time - very pleased with the model chosen.
Quality Instrument
I am not a classical guitarist. I bought this guitar while looking for a quality acoustic, and I loved the sounds I heard from classical guitars. If this is a good "classical" guitar I don't know. It plays and sounds great to me. I was skeptical of it being made in china, but honestly the fit and finish is better than most of the made in USA guitars I've owned. It is now my only acoustic guitar. The case is solid. The built in humidifier works. I've seen better fitment in a case but it's pretty good. I haven't had any issues but its not a gigging instrument for me.
Excellent!!!
I was looking for a really good quality classical guitar as an upgrade to my entry level one. I was back and fort between C12, GK Pro and even Rodriguez Master. Then, the Esteso came. I felt it met me right in the middle with exactly what I was looking for and it didn't disappoint. I never got a chance to try it out on local stores. I just relied on photos and videos available online. It's beautifully done and very well made. The guitar is perfect for my size. It's slightly smaller than other Cordoba series and I love it. The sound is loud and full. Comfortable to play. I have small, slender hands (not a lot of flesh) and I can play hours on end without hurting myself.
Sweetwater purchase experience was phenomenal. They shipped the guitar already tuned and ready to play.
Exceptional service by my sales engineer, Josh S. He even followed up with a phone call weeks after my purchase to see how everything was doing with my guitar. I never get that kind of service anywhere.
