Squier Paranormal Esquire Deluxe Solidbody Electric Guitar - Metallic Black Reviews
Representing the median between an early ’50s Esquire and a ’70s-era Telecaster Deluxe, the Squier Paranormal Esquire Deluxe is a no-nonsense solidbody with an aggressive humbucking edge. From the classic big-pickguard-equipped poplar Tele body to the 6-saddle hardtail bridge, this guitar is clearly inspired by the Tele Deluxes of the ’70s, but with a utilitarian twist: a single bridge-position Fender-designed Wide Range humbucking pickup. It’s a fierce set of specs that excels in all manner of loud, heavy 6-string applications. However, Sweetwater guitarists find the distinctive 3-position rotary knob grants the Paranormal Esquire Deluxe far greater flexibility than your typical 1-pickup instrument, taking you from all-out humbucking firepower to subtle split-coil sonics. A comfortable maple-on-maple “C” profile neck completes the Paranormal Esquire Deluxe with top-class playability that’s all but guaranteed to inspire fervent fretwork.

Such a Great Guitar!
I've had this guitar for almost two weeks now and I'm still thoroughly impressed at the level of craftsmanship it possesses. It was set up perfectly when I unpacked it and just needed a quick tuning. The fretboard is perfect as well. No sharp edges on the frets and absolutely no fretbuzz anywhere on it! And I enjoy the single humbucker pickup as it forces me to use my fingers more for tailoring the sound rather than twiddling with the pickup selector and tone knobs trying to get what I want from dual pickup guitars. I also have some Gibson Les Pauls and a SG, as well as a couple other Fender Teles and a Strat and this Squier Esquire is definitely in the same league! So while this is my first Squire it certainly won't be the last!
