The Epoch Bias models a legendary EP-3 unit’s preamp with all of the Epoch Boost’s reverent sonic detail. Catalinbread then adds new controls: a wide-ranging high-cut filter and a Bias control. The high-cut filter facilitates tasty tone refinements, and Sweetwater guitarists find it an invaluable option when frequently changing guitars or running long signal chains. The Bias control behaves almost like a gain knob, thus remedying the fixed gain structure of the vintage EP-3.
