Ansmann Energy 16 Plus Battery Charger Reviews
The Ansmann Energy 16 Plus Battery Charger charges and maintains from 1-12 AAA or AA, 1-6 C or D, and 1-2 9V rechargeable batteries. It features an automatic refreshing function, and sports two USB charging sockets for your cellphone, tablet or other 5V USB devices. What's more, Ansmann's proprietary refresh cycle is onboard to fine-tune the chemistry of your batteries. Media pros here at Sweetwater rely on rechargeable batteries every day. That's why we use and recommend solid Ansmann products like the Energy 16.
New for
Work great!
Charges as it should and trickle charges when they are full so it doesn't mess the batteries up.
Nice charger and rechargeable batteries.
Before getting and using these batteries and charger we often had 16 AA batteries in use every worship service. We would need to decide if the batteries would last through a service if we started with 2 out of 3 bars of battery life. If we didn't think so, it seemed like a waste of batteries and poor stewardship. Some members of the worship teams are opposed to junking up the environment disposing of spent batteries. Even properly recycled, the cost of regularly replacing batteries is considerable. Now the batteries are charged between services and have plenty of life to serve during rehearsal and worship service without worrying about stretching battery life to maintain good stewardship. They work nicely in all of our wireless mics as well as the Pastor's hip pack for his headset.
Very Versatile Charger
Really like this unit!
Battering charging station
This is a great addition to the battery buying and storage. We go through lots of AA batteries with wireless mics and lapels. No worries if a mic is left on, just recharge it.
Runs way too hot when charging 12 batteries
When charging 12 batteries, the unit gets way too hot from the power that all the batteries use! I have it suspended above the table using a wire type gadget that allows air to circulate under it to help keep it cool.
Reviews talked about a fan? There is no fan in this thing. There are no vents for fan air to flow through.
Charging less than 12 batteries does not create the problem.
Charger was making some batteries much hotter than I wanted at first.
Anyway, the unit and the batteries has settled down now and works as it should. It is not as smart as it needs to be considering it is all automatic and cannot be used manually in case of something unexpected.
Value use of battery charger
I have found this battery charger to be very useful. It definitely beats buying Duracell batteries all the time. I charge the batteries after every two venues. Thanks for the information giving me to make the right decision on saving valuable time and energy on running out of juice in the middle of a sermon.
Works Great!!!
I use it in my church to charge the AA's for the wireless mics (handheld & headsets) and the 9v's for the guitar pedals. The USB's are a very nice bonus as well. The 9v's take longer than I'd like to charge, but that's due to the charging current being at 60mA for the 9v's. While the AA's charging current is 1000mA. All in all, it does a great job and I'm just so happy I don't have to keep buying new packs of alkaline batteries every other Sunday!!!
The only charger you will EVER need
Ansmann keeps coming out with great products and the Energy 16 Plus is no exception. It is well-constructed and comes with a 3 year warranty. It can charge up to 14 batteries at once (D, C, AA, AAA, and even has 2 usb outputs for your mobile devices). This device is very easy to use, unlike some high end chargers. Don’t buy cheaper imitations, because you will later end up buying what you should have purchased to begin with, Ansmann! This charger operates silently and the LED lights will let you know when they are completely charged. You can’t overcharge your batteries because it will automatically go to trickle charge once they are fully. You can find cheaper chargers out there but they won’t measure up to Ansmann’s product and this is the best I have found.
This is the ULTIMATE charger.
