Great strings for the price
I wanted a set of strings with the gauge size of this set for my Ibanez AS7312 and I thought I would try them. I knew that they were a little more expensive than my original set that came on the guitar. The more that I played it the better that I liked the feel and sound of them. With the coating they should last longer, but we will see. Well worth the money. If they last as long as they say, I will change my six string guitars over to them.
Great Strings
These strings are perfect. I use it on my Gibson SG and keep it in drop D so my lower 6th string always has plenty of beef without rattling. On top of that, Elixirs last forever so i only change strings if they break ( which never happened yet) or if i need to clean the fretboard.
elixir 12 string 12450 set
these strings have a lot of punch really brings it out to you
Long Lasting
These cost more than most other strings but last a long, long time. I hate changing strings so I love these because they last at least 3 times longer than anything else I've tried. Since they last 3x longer, they're really not that much more expensive than cheap strings.
String broke...
Honestly, I did hesitate to write this, and please, understand that these words have nothing to do with Sweetwater...they always have been and always will be the very best in musical equipment merchandise. I was changing the strings on my Danelectro 59X12 electric guitar and while putting these strings on, the A octave (.018) string broke!!! it wasn't even tuned up high enough and just snapped!! I have been playing 46+ years and it's probably been 40 since I broke a string in changing. Finished restricting and sounds fine. This is only the fourth or fifth time I have tried Elixir and have never had any issues before.
