TC Electronic Echobrain Analog Delay Pedal Reviews
The TC Electronic Echobrain is your 1-way ticket to classic slapback nirvana. This guitar effects pedal boasts a vintage-style bucket brigade circuit for authentic analog delay effects. This stompbox includes up to 300ms of maximum delay time, along with Mix and Repeats knobs, putting everything from rockabilly-type slap to Meddle-era Pink Floyd-inspired ambience right at your feet. What's more, cranking the Echobrain's Repeats knob unleashes a mountain of cacophonous self-oscillation — one of the most exciting aspects about classic BBD-loaded analog delays. The guitarists here at Sweetwater appreciate the Echobrain's roadworthy metal housing, and its true bypass design maintains your tone when the effect isn't in use. If you're in the mood for old-school analog delay effects, you'll really dig TC's Echobrain.

Sounds good
I like it.I mainly use the mix knob only. I use it with my deluxe reverb to get sort of a marshall sound which I like sometimes.
Amazing
The pedal is really Chios for its price range and does the job
Very Useful pedal
This pedal from TC does a lot and carries a wide range of echo possibilities. Not only is it fun but it fits most of wha tI play without getting in the way or adding that sometimes/always annoying digital delay and reverb you get with some pedals. Controls are intuiitive, and very responsive. All in all I'd say that this will be on your board for a good long time.
Classic Slapback Delay - at a fantastic price
Initially I didn't know I wanted a delay on my board. As a novice, I thought having a delay may be redundant to a reverb, but I like the sound of this one, it wasn't too expensive so I took a shot.
It's on all the time. In fact, I use it more often than the reverb as that slapback delay sound is another level.
Simple to use with a great sound - and an affordable pricepoint, I cannot recommend these TC Electronic pedals enough. Echobrain is the third pedal I have from TC and each have been exactly what I wanted and was looking for.
If you're new, exploring your sound and considering a delay - this is a fantastic pedal to check out.
Great analog delay for a great price
This is a great analog delay for the price. Theres no volume drop, high quality sound, simple easy to use. It has many usable setting that range from country music slapback all the way long Psychedelic post rock ambience. Its versatile and usable for any style of music. I gave it 4.5 stars and not 5 for two reasons.
1. No tap tempo
2. Pedal is kinda bulky
Overall its great sounding, well built, sturdy, vintage sounding delay.
Great sounding pedal, not quite perfect
The tone of this delay is perfect. It's analog and it sounds like it. It does outer space noises, it does Pink Floyd, it does everything a delay should do. There are only two problems. They are minor and for the price I can deal with them:
300ms is not a long time for maximum length of delay. I get that it's bucket brigade, but there are 600ms bucket brigade pedals which is literally double. 300ms is enough for most things but I find myself maxing the knob too often.
The other gripe is minor, but, this is a heckin CHONK (yuge) of a pedal. It takes up a lot of real estate on a board. Apart from a wah, it's the biggest pedal I own.
If they crammed this thing into a 30% smaller enclosure and figured out a way to increase the max delay by 30-50%, it would be perfect.
True bypass??
I can still hear a slight repeat even when the pedal is off. True bypass? I think not.
Echobrain...not that good
It's okay but not great. The pedal has a very tinny, metallic and robotic sound. It is definitely not a great delay pedal. It does have a "sweet spot", where it sounds pretty cool, but outside of the sweet spot it sounds pretty lousy. I recommend spending more money and getting a better pedal.
