Perfect Expansion for EZD3
There's a reason Toontrack chose these drum kits for their EZD2 rollout – they're versatile and they sound great! Where some expansion packs zero in on a specific style, this one is more of a multi-purpose pack.
Going beyond rock & pop, the 5 included kits work well with a range of styles including funk, fusion, big band, latin, and even jazz. The only downside is that some of the drums have limited articulations - snares are limited to center, rimshot & sidestick; ride is limited to bow, bell & edge, etc. Otherwise, everything is very well sampled. And the 16 included presets add to its versatility.
The included MIDI has 26 songs that cover a wide range of styles (pop/rock/country, blues, funk, jazz, latin, metal & soul), plus some useful snare rolls & cymbal crescendos. While this collection isn't nearly as large as EZD3, it's larger than most separately sold MIDI packs.
This expansion pack gives you a lot of bang for your buck and I highly recommend it.
Useless
Product doesn't work. Save your money, buy a different product. I've spent hours trying to get this to work and there is no remedy. Snake oil, avoid at all costs.
