Extremely Useful For Outboard DAW Busing With Pedals and Hi-Z Rack Gear

By Todd from IL

I love these EXTC modules. I currently have a pair of them and will most likely buy more in the future. Being able to route DAW tracks out through pedals and other oddball Hi-Z gear is just a lot of fun. Currently I have these racked in a Cranborne 500ADAT via the ADAT I/O and my Zen Studio+ interface and it's clean and efficient. I've used these EXTC modules to bus I/O to the new JHS Colour Box v2 pedals, a Strymon Volante, my main pedalboard, various compressor pedals, fuzz pedals, joystick pedals, reverb pedals, and even some old prosumer rack units I have laying around. I think the thing I like the most about these EXTC modules is how they allow me to implement all of my 70+ pedals into my DAW workflow which in turn means being able to shut my eyes when turning real tactile knobs when making tweaks to mixes. Mixing with my ears instead of with my eyes is something I'm really trying to get back to these days. These EXTC modules help bring back that magic.

Awesome!

By Alex
Music Background: Amateur audio engineer, guitarrist, home studio owner.

Just like all the Radial's stuff, it is built like a tank and a high quality device. When i received it yesterday, i used my voice through all my stompboxes and the sound was marvellous, wonderful .... what a sound! Today i used it as an external plugin within cubase pro 8, with recorded tracks and the results were awesome, a clear sound without hum or buzz. Now, i am playing with it as a child and i am trying to use with anything. If you are a guitarrist who loves pedals, now you will be able to use them with your amp, or use them after the mic captured the sound (to record the stompboxes with the amp is great, but if you can edit what you have already recorded with a touch of delay, a little chorus here or a swirling phaser to make psychodelicus your tone, that is priceless).

Well, i you have pedals, this can give a new point of view and a new fronteer.
