Ok I will try to keep this one shorter than my review for EXM Mobile 8. I have used one of these for almost 2 years now in conjunction with 2 EXM Mobile 8's. I should have bought 2 in hindsight. Realistically, 4 would be the magic number if money were no option. Here's why it's cool: It weighs 30 pounds, it's got dual 8 inch sub drivers, it's battery powered, it also can substitute for a mobile bass amp rig setup too (I use the EXM 8 to bring out the highs). I usually get 4 plus hours out of the sub at 3/4 volume before it dies (I know what the literature says, but these are real world numbers). It's Bluetooth also which is cool for streaming music too. Here's some questions I ask myself about whether or not I made the right choice, and would I buy it again (and if you're on the fence, maybe it will help in your decision to purchase as well)? Is it expensive? Yes! Kind of! Maybe? Nah, I bought one so I justified the price, and needing it! It's gotten a lot of use that's for sure. It's definitely paid for itself at this point! Is it loud? It's not BassBoss Kraken loud, and it's not supposed to be, but for what it is, it adds a nice bottom to a setup (especially for a smaller inside event and placed in a corner). I will say for some bigger outside events that I have used this for and needed extra bass, I added a powered JBL PRX815 sub. I think having multiple units of the EXM sub tho, would have alleviated that issue. Is it a niche market? Yes! But if you do outside wedding ceremonies (or other outdoor events) and want to add some bass to the mixes (without running 5011 cables) this is it!! Is it a dual 8 battery powered subwoofer that weighs 30 pounds, that no one else in the industry is making? Yes! Trust me, I shopped around for a very long time trying to find a battery powered sub! How many should you buy? I should have bought 2! If you can afford it, buy 2 or more and stack them for more bass! One last thing: I haven't gotten paid for my review or work for Yorkville or Sweetwater! I bought it, use it, and highly recommend it!

Pairs well with the Mobile 8 and will satisfy most peoples' ears just fine. I really do like not always having to lug around larger subs and battery packs for many events. An update with weather resistance and a user swappable battery would be much appreciated.
