Best live strings

By Sweetwater Customer on December 29, 2023

A full set of 10's just sound better, but for playing out live having the three lighter gauge strings is easier on the fingers. Tried these on a whim and love them. Put them on all my band guitars.

A classic!

Fantastic strings. I tend to buy the 10 pack so I have backup strings. That way when I want to change my strings I have. You cannot beat D'addario's quality!

The Right String Set

By Tommy Godbold from North Carolina on June 19, 2021 Music Background: Former Road Musician (Retired)

Being a really Long time guitar player(Road & Studio) I have tried the full array of String gages I have decided the light top and heavier bottom D'Addario EXL125 Nickel Wound Electric Strings the best around string set (9-46 Superlight) without buying each string separately witch is a Hassel.

EXL 125

Great sounding strings, ben using them over 30 years. if you have a locking tremolo system, these simply dont break.i can leave them on my guitars for months, and it is very rare that they break. may lose some brightness leaving them on that long , but they are best i have used for that purpose. and they sustain and sound really good.

Satisfied again

By Kevin Kennedy from Columbia, MD on April 25, 2020 Music Background: Semi-pro

Yes, this order was only for a 10 pack of strings, but Sweetwater has become my go to place for
even the smallest purchase for anything related to my guitars. I love patronizing the brick and
mortar stores, but they often can't beat the service and pricing of Sweetwater.

Thanks again!

Best tone, life and price

By Paul from van down by the river on September 4, 2017

I've been a fan of D'Addario for ages. Went to the 46-9 set on my Les Pauls. These strings always sound great, last me a very long time and have that consistent LP tone I look for. Price is amazing. I have used some of the best high dollar strings made and I cannot see where they are any better than these. Perfect intonation, consistent quality from set to set. Be using these for as long as they make them

D'Addario is the best!!!

By Patrick from North Hollywood, CA on June 1, 2015 Music Background: Worship Leader

D'addario strings for electric guitars help me perform music with clearest tone and articulation. Other strings just disappoint me. 9 - 46 should be the standard combination for 6 string electric guitars.

A very good deal on strings

By Sweetwater Customer on March 19, 2019

If I'm playing gigs and practicing too, I tend to go through a set of strings fairly quickly. Buying strings in bulk make it much more affordable, thanks to Sweetwater.

My choice for most any guitar

By Doug from VA on April 10, 2018 Music Background: writplay pretty weller and

lighter trebles and standard light basses makes a great and versatile set. I install them and stretch them and then apply 'FastFret' or similar ...especially at nut slots and at the string hold-down devices. Minimize friction and by wiping brand new strings down, you keep them with a barrier to skin oil and grime.... both attack the string. I get 10 sets and save $$$ !

Great Strings

Can't beat these strings for the price I use them a lot in my shop my customers love them

Great strings

By Dave Lewis from Texas on November 25, 2016 Music Background: gigging and personal enjoyment

I have been using these strings for several years now ,,they sound and feel great ,
Have not had any issues with rust or breakage like some of the other's that are not protected from the atmosphere during storage and shipping .

Summer Gig

By Raymond Rasimas from Cheshire, CT USA on August 31, 2013 Music Background: Guitar enthusiast

I really like the gauges of this pack. They sound great when new, like all new strings. But this time I played an outdoor gig in blazing heat. I was surprised that even after wiping down the guitar the strings tarnished from that one gig. I still love the tone and sound they provide during solos and rhythm playing but just surprised at the short duration of quality.

D'Addario EXL125 Guitar strings

By Nathan Knox from Niagara Falls, New York on April 24, 2013 Music Background: guitarist

I have been using D'Addario guitar strings for a very long time now and found them to be an excellent product. I've tried many other brands and can confidently say that I'm not aware of anything better. We all have our favorites, but I've found that these keep their tone and clarity for as long as I keep them on my guitars (I change my strings often). I really like the size options that they offer. These are .009, .011, .016, .026, .036, .046.
These do the trick for me! Great stuff!
