Awesome strings
I've used all sorts of strings and they all break too fast. These strings have amazed me by how durable they have been. I play hours and hours a day but these hold their own. Great product.
EVH strings
i put these on my guitar and i didn't not like them at at. I gone back to what i always use. I wanted to try them well not for me.
Sound ok, break way to easy.
I went through two E strings in two days, they break at the ball, probably because I don't have a Floyd and cut them off. I can't use them on my LP because one good bend and it's over. The 10's worked better, but I wanted to stay with 9's. Sorry Ed, I'm going back to my old standard strings.
Good strings
Like the strings, sound nice and crisp and I can get a nice chunky sound or nice tones. You cant beat the price, and I can see where they cut the cost on packaging. I just don't like all 6 strings all intertwined together in one baggie. Anyway other than cheep packaging I like these.
Downtuning
Downtuned to B standard with these strings and they sound perfect, would recommend for anyone interested in high quality strings that sound crisp downtuned
My favorites
Always like a great product and this one. Nice bright but warm sound. I play nines and I like how these feel over other brands. I bought the 5 pack and do the price was amazing. Sweetwater has great customer service and seven with a small order like this they called to check on my experience (actual human on phone).
Spank like 10s, feel shreddy like 9s
A few of my friends had to ask me if I had 9s or 10s and they've been playing a while. The fact that the riff tone doesn't loose the spank while having the easy feel. These guys don't stretch like some strings when doing big bends either. Thanks Eddie
Not great.
Love EVH stuff but these strings are not great. In fact, they are not enjoyable at all for me. They feel cheap, clunky, and die off pretty quick. Just not a quality string. Couldn't hardly wait to get them off of my go-to guitar. When I stripped the EVH strings off and put a fresh set of a competitors strings back on my favorite Wolfgang… huge difference! Instantly had my baby back. I won't even briefly consider buying EVH strings again. Sorry Ed. RIP!
Excellent strings
These strings came stock on my 5150 and I really like the tone and feel, I will definitely be putting another set on my EVH...
