Easy. I can just sit down and play. I think they sound great with a bare minimum of effort, adjusting a tuning peg or two every few weeks. Head changes are quick and easy once you learn how to handle the cable and use a drill with a string winder bit.

The perceived limitation with regards to tuning is overblown in my opinion. Batter/reso tuning intervals can be achieved with head choice e.g. Evans G2 batter/G1 reso = minor 3rd. If you like uncommon head combinations and/or intervals for your toms, then maybe these aren't for you.

I also think chasing perfect lug-to-lug tension is fine for new heads but only gets harder (and time consuming!) as the batter heads break in. If you fail to detect loose tension rods, head life is further shortened. With this kit, my head life has doubled and I think that is due to the constant tension on both heads.

I worried about even tuning lug-to-lug but in practice it seems to be a non-issue. Slight variations in the stamped steel hoop, bearing edges, friction in the pulley system, etc all conspire against that ideal but I quickly learned not to worry about it because the drum sounds great and the long head life tells me they're happy with the situation.

The only real con I've encountered is mounting multiple rack toms. I didn't want to drill for reasons and I wanted to use my DW stand. I tried the Pearl ISS mounts modified to accept L-rods but my 10" tom slipped out once and spooked me.

They're not budget priced and the finishes are limited but it's an elegant and effective system that as exceeded my expectations.
