These batter heads are exactly what I've been looking for. They have a smooth bold tone with strong punch and fast decay. I tried them out on all 5 toms. After a few hours of jamming, I was very pleased and wanted even more of their unique boom. I decided to test them without any reso heads (which has given me wildly mixed results in the past)... WOW! As concert tom heads these are EXTREMELY PUNCHY AND LOUD, yet they still retain the rich tone that originally won me over. Reso's or none, these skins are hot chocolate. Yum
