JBL EON715 1300-watt 15-inch Powered PA Speaker Reviews

Fantastic sound upgrade versus our old speakers. Modern digital fx, EQ and volume/gain control either locally on the speakers or via an app/bluetooth. My band left it to me to choose the speakers and I honestly sweated over how they would perform. First gig last night and I am a hero. And as usual the Sweetwater sales engineer gave excellent real world advice. Only improvement suggestion is a more a more comprehensive operation manual. I found YouTube videos to be fine but sometimes you would like to just read.

This speaker was purchased for the intention of being a FOH for small to medium venues. My band has events every two weeks and on occasions we have 4 events in 4 days in a row. It was very refreshing and helpful that they don't weigh a ton. The interface is easy to use and they are loud! What more can be said. Shout out to my rep Cliff Hackleman for helping me.

Great clear sound, took a minute to get the levels right but incredibly good sounding speakers

I traded my EON15 G2s and EON Subs for future welding work on a dump truck. Yes, I don't have all my teeth, but I'm 64 and some of that's expected. So EON715s, right. I have proper tripod stands. My Fishman LoudBox Artist and Performer will fill in, if the weather is questionable, as they've been around and provide solid substitution options. Last (first this year - 2022) outing was disaster due to guitar pickup issues. I've Bluetooth tested the EON715s and they will be fine. I will be using the flat EQ, space the speakers 25-35 feet apart (outside), pass through (full frequency) to the Fishman monitors for near field coverage. I have the SPL meter, so 100-105 at 6 feet away should do (using pink noise at -6db) and I'll run stereo because that's what I planned for. I'll let the monitors lightly reach me, for atmosphere and use BeyerDynamic DT880 Pro headphones through a Mackie Mix8 for the phones. Tinnitus, Morse code, loud music and age may have attenuated my mid/high perception. The BBE 882i allows parallel XLR/TRS outs. XLR true to the audience. TRS to the Mix8 (phones amp), so I can bright my headphone signal to my liking. Typical phones amps don't do tone control and when I'm happy with the sound I play happy. I figure this will drop my mid/high mix by 1-2db (true) and I'll bump it as needed to my phones.

QUIET no hissing even at high volume more than enough headroom drum machine really sounds like real drum kit blu tooth a plus sound is quite remarkable and is light weight Very Pleased with the results

These are my first powered speakers so I don't have anything to compare it to. That said, these are monsters for price that I paid. You don't need a subwoofer for a small event but being that I already jade a nose subwoofer they are even better. They rugged and clean at the same time. The set up was a cinch, and the ability to customize the parametric equalizer is a great touch.

The quality and crispness of the sound is mind blowing. It's unbelievable how much sound comes from just one of these. I am definitely going to get another.

Un sonido brutal, suenan fuerte y claro a lo mejor hay bocinas que alcancen un mayor volumen pero por el precio no creo que haiga mejor calidad de sonido con la clarides que suenan. Suenan mejor que las eon 615 tengo un amigo que tiene un par de eon 615 y cuando escucho las 715 quedo impresionado

The JBL projects deep rich sound! We purchased it to beef up the sound of an older Baldwin electronic organ that was given to our church.

Highly Recommend Due My use of this product is for my personal drum rig used as monitors so these are a good wattage for me since getting back into drumming 25 years later after touring back in the 90's. So well lets say the gear back then was big and heavy if you have ever toured with eastern arctic works 850's and a Varilight system. So I am very excited to say these are very light weight Speakers And Are Plenty Loud To Compensate For Some Extremely Loud Paragon Cymbals And A Very Deep Mahogany Snare. Have Probably Only Gotten Them To 3/4 Gain And They Are Very Clear Sounding Running Them Directly From My Phone. Can't Wait To Get My Rack And Electronic Triggers Back Into The Mix When I Have The Money But These Speakers Are Doing Well For Practicing Cover Tunes I Like To Play. As For The Bluetooth, My Only Bug Is That If You Will Be Playing Music From Your Phone Be Prepared For Using One Speaker "Which Also Restricts The Gain And Is Not Loud Enough For Practice" If You Want To Have Two Speakers You Have To Hard Wire It! And No I Could Not Jump The Signal With And XLR To The Other Speaker Until I Hardwired The Phone Directly Into The Speakers, Went To The Very Easy To Use Display, Set The Gains, And Was Off And Playing. The sound of these speakers is excellent! I perform with acoustic, electric and electronic instruments and it meets my fidelity needs perfectly. (Close anyway)
I've loaded the app for coordinating the speakers (Bluetooth, stereo, updating firmware) on both iOS and Android systems and it's very uncooperative. Selections turning off on their own. The app wouldn't recognize the speakers existence. Once I finally had everything set up for stereo play it worked beautifully until shutoff. Then I had to start all over again with the set up. The app never did work. I should mention, I do electronic music and MIDI guitar demonstrations professionally. I know how to work with an app in both computer formats.
Great sounding speaker!

Jbl did a fine job. I'm going to buy a couple more soon. Purchase some you won't be disappointed.

I have 14 JBL 600/700 Series Speakers I was a happy customer until I bought the 715's
They took away the Set-Screw for the Pole Stands! WHAT THE HELL!?
Not sure who's brilliant Idea this was but to top it off the pole needs to be 35MM
Which means all my tripods are now obsolete. I do a lot of Car Shows and outside events
I EMailed JBL and asked what was up with the change and I was kind blown off saying JBL has
Tripods I should buy. Was this the Genius IDEA of some guy in the Office to sell more Tripods?
That's all I can think of.... Can't think of any other reason.....
I HATE TRIPODS as the are unstable and Ugly so I have boxes that the speakers go on top of with a 1" speaker pole I made that is just fine. the Pole is small but with the set-screw they work just fine
Not sure what I'm going to do but I know what I'm NOT going to do.....
I AM NOT GOING TO BUY ANYMORE JBL ANYTHING!

I'm gonna get a refund for the speakers and get me some QSC's or electro voice these speakers after about an hour and a half sounds like crap

I usually love the sound of JBL speakers but this model has taken that away. This speaker doesn't push out the sound it should without clipping. This model clips way too easier compared to other models I have owned. I don't recommend buying this model.
