Fits my needs
I love these speakers! I have three pairs of the EON 610 speakers. I purchased the EON 710 since the EON 610 was discontinued.I like the additional power of the 1300 watt amplifier and the DSP controls on the speaker. These speakers give me the flexibility to adjust perfectly for different venues. It's a great speaker for those on a budget.

Good JBl quality and sound
Many PA speakers have a distinct lack of clear high end and sound like an industrial PA rather than like a HI-FI setup playing recorded music. I want that same quality from my live music vocal and instrumental PA and I get it with JBL. I use these as monitors for my 9 piece band along with a digital zoom board and a pair or JBL Eon 1's. It took a few minutes to get the EQ setup how I wanted but once they were set, they have plenty of volume and great clarity. I had to turn down the mids a bit but overall, after done tweaking of the EQ, they sound great. Also,They could easily be used for a P.A. for most gigs. The "Thru" feature is nice as it enables you to either daisy chain these together or use them as I do as a monitor with the thru going to the powered main. I may rethink this setup and use these chained together as moniotors with the JBL Eon Ones on a completely separate mix overall I'm pleased with the sound.
great choice
comparing it to my qsc-12, this unit does not have as much bass but it is loud and just as clear as the qsc if not more!!
JBL (Just Barely Loud)
The Speaker was delivered quickly, THAT I was happy about. I rushed to take it out of the package and set it up to listen to it. Well that is when all my anxious high spirit ended. I hated it, it was about as loud as my little Bose WAVE RADIO. We are using it for practice, as not to bring equipment back and forth, I thought I'd invest the 500.00 to save a little back work. The package came with a QUICK START PAGE and a 4 page warning of loud noise and electric shocks and how to clean. I think a manual of how to access the settings and what they do would be more helpful.
First I plugged two mics and it was barely louder than the sound of the natural voices. I adjusted the master volume as high as it went, adjusted the inputs as well. Playing Rock and Roll, needs a bit of volume. My mouth literally dropped in disappointment.
I did so much research before buying,(the worst comment was about the on/off button). After tinkering I did get the volume up a bit and I suspect there's something I can do to correct this but HOW??????? Very unhappy with JBL and the lack of information and where the hell is the bluetooth tab.
I would have returned it immediately but it's Saturday night and I leave for the Middle East Sunday morning. Hopefully by the time I return someone provides a bit of instruction.
