Beyond awesome
Best compact sound system on this planet
Excellent For Small Rooms
Works great in our home studio. DJ'd a small wedding. Powerful enough. Sub really helps. But always excellent JBL sound.
Great Value Package
Easy setup. Clear sound. Good quality. Can't wait to use it at future events.
Best Portable System
This is my second purchase of one of these EON208P systems. Very easy to use and the sound quality is great. I highly recommend this to anyone.
JLB EON208P
Perfect small size sounds system and highly recommend buying from sweet water, great company to work with.
JBL EON 208P portable sound system
We got this system in Aug 2021 at Alex's suggestion. We were hesitant at first, but very glad we did! This system does everything described, is so easy to set up and use, and is very portable, unlike the old system we were using. It has great sound quality. We are still exploring things we can do using the various features. We highly recommend this product!
This P.A. Does Everything We Thought it Would
This P.A. is easy to use, and performs as advertised. The speaker clarity is awesome! I haven't used the included microphone aside from making sure it functions. It functions well. We are very pleased with this small P.A.
EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD QUALITY
Just got this PA and really impressed with the sound quality. Was going to buy a Beringer because of the price point but I'm really glad I waited and got this one. I've had lots of JBL stuff in the past and the quality has always been top rate and this is no exception. For the money it's a wonderful P.A system. And once again MATHEW was wonderful to deal with. You guys rock.
GREAT ONLINE STORE...
I bought a couple of items from Sweetwater and have been very happy! They helped me find what I wanted and worked with me so I would be able to purchase it. I took advantage of the "6 Payment Plan they offered and was able to get my equipment when I needed it. Their customer service is outstanding and they are quick to fix any issues that may occur with the equipment. I highly recommend Sweetwater to anyone that is thinking of making an audio/musical equipment purchase! Thanks, Sweetwater!!
Got to love it!
If your looking for a great PA system, light, convenient, powerful. This is the system. Purchased this and used it for 4 gigs already and it was plenty powerful. Great sound with this one. Bass was surprisingly awesome! I was concerned about the lows but was happy to hear this portable system was more than adequate for 50 to 100 persons. I was under the impression that this had an eq on it but it didnt, maybe I was confusing with another device. Great unit for low price. Just a side note. You will not be able to pan channels on this PA, but using true stereo in, creates a great stereo sound. Very happy with this PA.
Portable PA
A great portable PA for the price. Rich bass tones. I like the Bluetooth functionality!
Really nice product
I've only had it for two weeks, but so far I am really impressed. I use it as a keyboard amp (Roland V-Combo) in a trio. It sounds amazing. My bandmates love it too. Who would have thought that 8" speakers could provide such great low end. The price is definitely below what I would expect for all of these features.
We haven't tested it outdoors yet, but I get the feeling that it might be a bit underpowered as a keyboard amp in such situations. Great for vocals, though. 150 watts per side should cover any of the small venues we play nicely.
I'm disappointed in the documentation, though. There's no technical info about what level of signals the inputs expect or what is actual output at the sub-woofer and monitor jacks. There's no frequency graph for the output, either. While I understand the desire for simplicity in a consumer product, is a page of technical details too much to ask?
JBL EON208P
I am a mobile DJ, and I originally purchased the JBL EON208P for cocktail hour and small PA applications. However, I have find myself leaving the 12 inch powered speakers behind and using these bad boys for gigs of 50-75 people. The best part is that I can stream music using the Bluetooth function while I pack my equipment up during the last 15 mins of the gig. Finally, when I couple this system with my Shure GLX-D Wireless Vocal System with SM58 Mic Z2 I am blown away by the sound quality. The only downside is that there is not much of a low end on these things, after all, they are only 8inch woofers. I plan to purchase the next series that JBL releases based on my experience with this system. Hope this helps -DjHorsePower
Not enough bass
I bought this to replace my 20 year old Carvin PA that was starting to fail on me. The PA/mixer part is fine and seems to have plenty of clean power available but the included speakers were a disappointment, some reviewers claimed that there was sufficient bass but to me it was nowhere near acceptable, I ended up keeping my old Carvin 12 inch PA speakers and using them with the Eon Pa/mixer and it sounds great.
fantastic small portable PA
Sounds Great. Perfect for 2 people singing and playing guitar together. With a couple extra channels for your intermission music or a keyboard. Suitcase style consolidation is great for the musician with limited vehicle storage. Compartment door does kinda suck. Wish this was available years ago. Perfect for small acoustic set or reinforcing a live spoken word event.
Mostly Great
Great sound, and love the Bluetooth. The storage compartment door is flimsy and keeps popping off.
You should try this before you buy it
The features of this PA are exactly what I wanted. However, I was very disappointed when I found that the volume on the microphone channels is borderline unacceptably low. With the channel volume and master volume at max, it provides a bit of amplification. The other channels, plugging in a keyboard or streaming from a phone, are fine. So, I bought a Shure SCM268 Microphone Mixer. It has inputs for up to four microphones and puts out a line level signal. With this setup, the output from the JBL is great, just what I thought I was buying in the first place (a PA system!). I got the Shure unit cheap on eBay so having to buy it doesn't annoy me too much but it is a bit of a nuisance to have another thing to carry around and plug in.
There are several similar PA systems out there from other manufacturers. Maybe some of them are better designed.
Unit sounds great but line levels and mics do not have enough gain, must use a small mixer to preamp mics
Hi everyone, this is a solid great sounding unit but after 2 of these the same problem. The mic and line level signals are just not acceptable for a professional musician or playback use. I have over 40 years in music and have owned every type of system. I just wanted to make people aware, sold both.
