Solidbody Electric Guitar with Mahogany Body, Mahogany Neck, Ebony Fingerboard, and 2 Active Humbucking Pickups - Ebony

When Bjorn Gelotte was offered a signature Les Paul, he wasted no time in dialing in his high-intensity sound for his band In Flames. The Epiphone Bjorn Gelotte Les Paul Custom solidbody electric guitar looks like your typical mahogany-bodied Paul at first glance, but it's got a lot going on under the hood. Gelotte opted for the classic high-gain combo of EMG 81/85 pickups, and decked them out in gold, which adds to the sleek look. He further customized his signature axe with Epiphone's LockTone "Nashville-style" Tune-o-matic bridge with a stopbar tailpiece. The limited edition Bjorn Gelotte Les Paul Custom merges classic looks and high-octane performance!

Sweet Guitar - Great Price

By Ron from Michigan

Just got - in love! Quality of build excellent for price. Brian helped me with sale and made the purchase fun and easy.
This is my fifth Epiphone Les Paul - I"ve only played briefly but can tell you this guitar is fairly versatile. With the 81 - 85 configurations I thought the sound might be muddy or too hot. Roll the volume knob down and get s nice creamy, thick tone on the neck pick up. Roll it back up on the bridge and get your dirt on. I have to pay it more, but the smile in my face tells me I"m gonna be playing this one. A lot.

This guitar is total quality from all aspects.I have been playing for 35 years professionally for many of them I have many guitars and this has become my favorite in just a few days.I would put this guitar up against any Gibson it would easily compare to any 5000 dollar les paul. I also have to give props to my main man Mike Winebrenner. He is always on top of my purchases and takes great care of me I buy all of my gear from Sweetwater I won't shop anywhere else they are heads above everyone the service is incredible.Buy this guitar you will be blown away I promise.

Amazing

By Mark S.

Just blown away by the quality of this axe. Been a fender guy for awhile and this is just as good but better in its own way. I'm thinking of another this is so awesome.

Incredible Les Paul!

By Ted from Carlisle, Pa.
Music Background: Playing 43 yrs. Played in a few diff. Bands in the 80's/90's have been teaching guitar and collecting for about 10 yrs now.

Ok, I knew this was out, I didn't pay much attention to it because I already have 4 Epi LP custom's
All of which are exceptional, Very well crafted guitars (That may be hard to believe since they are made in China) But it's true. This is coming from a 54 yr old who has been playing since 11 yrs old and currently owns 50+ electrics, Several of which are Gibson's! Yea yea, I used to be one of those Gibby fan boys "Only a Gibson will do!" Not anymore. My change of heart came around the end of 2014 when I bought the Epiphone Lee Malia's LP Custom. I had NO idea who Lee was nor did I care. I was attracted to it because it is basically a copy of the Gibson Artisian LP Custom! I have always wanted one of those but they are **** near impossible to find in above average condition. So, I ordered the Lee Malia's custom, Still a bit Leary and thinking I just took a big risk buying an Epiphone.
Boy oh boy was I dead wrong! When I un-boxed it I was floored by the appearance, But still not convinced. I removed it from the box and went over every centimeter, Inspecting everything very closely.
Neck was straight, Frets filed very nicley, Nut was set perfect, Everything about it was FLAWLESS! No kidding! Next, I was eager to fire this baby up and try out the GIbson USA pick-ups,, OMG it plays so easy and ZERO fret buzz, Very nice action, And the tone (All the tones) are awesome! This sounded as good as my 79 Gibson LP custom! So, At first I was kinda confused, how could this be 799.00, Made in China, And be so **** good? a couple months later I saw a Gloss black Epi Custom classic at a guitar shop, I could not take my eyes off it, Simply stunning! It has an aged yellow binding all around and even aged yellow inlay on head-stock, No pick-guard, and just looked like another flawless Epi LP. Next day I broke down and bought it! WOW! Just as nice as the Lee Malias! Then a few months ago I get an email from Epi announcing the 100th anniv. LP custom's, I loved how they looked with the different head-stock, I ordered the Natural, It came, I was floored! Once again, Perfection (close to it) few days later I ordered the Cherry. Now the Cherry is my favorite! The pics don't do it justice, The Cherry just looks incredible in person! Ok, Now that makes FOUR Epi LP Customs I own. Enter the Bjorn!! Like I said at the beginning, I did not pay much attention to this model, I think because I'm not crazy about active pick-ups. I am however, A BIG fan of good Thrash (Testament/Megadeth/LoG, Etc..) but had not heard a whole lot of "In Flames" Even though I had seen them a couple times since Y2k when they opened for Testament or Megdeth. I just didn't pay much attention to them. A few days ago I was at a old friend's house to hear his new band practice. He introduced me to the lead guitarist, Guess what he pulled out? THE BJORN!
This did not excite me at 1st, But once he fired it up,, WOW! I had to try it! The rest of the night was centered around this beast! (He had just got it a few days before) Fast forward to here and NOW! I just ordered my very own Bjorn custom! This will make 5 FIVE Epi LP Custom's for me!
Once again, this was yet another FLAWLESS Epi custom! Also, Turns out those active PU's sound incredible! They can snort and growl, Or clean up really nice! The Ebony fretboard is off the charts! Action, harmonics, feel, Think of everything good and this guitar has it! Cannot wait to get it!
Whatever Epiphone has been doing the last 2 years, KEEP IT UP! Simply cannot beat the quality for the price on the newer Epiphone LP's!! Don't miss out because your like I "USED" to be. Give one a try, You'll see what I'm talking about! Sweetwater is the BEST place to buy a new axe!

Awesome guitar!

By Gabriel from Richland, WA
Music Background: Guitar player for 20+ years

I made the mistake of purchasing this same guitar elsewhere and received a broken one. Decided to come back to Sweetwater to purchase another. Should have come here first. Sweetwater has never done me wrong. Customer service is by far the best I've dealt with. Brandon Eden (sales rep) is a great guy to work with. Always makes dealing with Sweetwater feel more personal. As for the guitar.....

Hands down the best Epiphone Les Paul Custom I've owned. I've had 3 others before this one. The construction is amazing. Playability is perfect. Came set up and ready to play right out of the case. If you're looking for a less expensive alternative to a Gibson Les Paul and want that extra gain and clarity from EMGs, this is the guitar for you. I'm absolutely in love with it. I've been playing it through my Bugera 6260 and it just flat out does everything I want it to. To top it all off, it looks amazing. The round profile neck is incredibly comfortable. I'm used to thin fast necks of Jacksons and Charvels and my other 2 Les Paul Customs. But was surprised at how fast I got used to the feel of the bigger, thicker neck on this guitar.

I could go on for days about this thing, but I'll just leave it at this: Great guitar. Can't complain about it in any way. Buy one!!! You won't be disappointed!!
