Spot on.

By Hermie on April 8, 2024 Music Background: Intermediate

After 4 decades of playing the other BIG brand, we all now what I'm talking about, I will never go back. This guitar is affordable, spot on, beautiful and tuned/setup 100% at the factory. A great thanks to Slash.
10/10. The days of playing at home for 1 hour +- is now history. Do it 8 hours these days.

Too Nice To Play

By Carey Bradley from Bartlesville, Oklahoma on December 4, 2023 Music Background: Trombone marching band & concert, self taught guitars & keyboard since 16 y.o. I learned panpipes & singing bowls. I play spoons & "bones", the wooden version.

The color is called November Burst, and since it's Slash's signature guitar, I have named her
"November Reign", appropriately. November is the finest instrument I have ever played. Being my first guitar of this type, I have never heard anything, or felt anything fretboard wise. I'm going to go the route of cheap guitars for awhile to build my collection, but I needed a "real deal" cornerstone & November will be reigning all over my other guitars. The pictures don't do her justice, the tones are ringing & are exceptionally unique compared to my other guitar which is an electric LTD MH-50. November's frets are smooth except one hiccup where my finger stopped, but I was not applying enough pressure to her get over the fretting, trying to not damage or scratch the wood out of over abundance of caution. Zero complaints, and I'm gobsmacked about how amazing she sounds. The case is fantastic!! Bending notes was like a dream, & I played Clapton's rendition of George's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", and the experience was astounding! Many guitars are a 10 out of 10, but November Reign goes to 11!

Epiphone Slash Les Paul

Unfortunately I haven't had a lot of time with it yet but so far it's great

An absolutely Wonderful Instrument.

By Timothy Marazita from Whiting, NJ on September 15, 2023 Music Background: Jack of all trades, master of none.

I bought this guitar because of the color and the price. I have a couple of Gibson Custom shop Les Pauls and I have to say there are no discernable differences between this guitar and the Custom shop guitars. Fit and finish is outstanding. The pictures do not do it justice. The action and intonation are spot on. I like the tone of the pickups as well. There is nothing to dislike about this guitar. I would have been comfortable taking it out of the box and playing a gig with it.
NOW FACTOR IN THE PRICE and it becomes an amazing value. Don't be afraid to buy one of these because it is not a "Gibson"
I'm one happy camper.

Thanks Josh!!

No regrets or additions!

I Have All Five

By Brad Maggard from Missouri on July 12, 2023 Music Background: Guitar 42 years, bass, piano, drums, singer

Well, I started with a Gibson Slash November Burst. Playing around, I picked up a Vermilion Epiphone Slash and couldn't believe I thought I liked playing it better. Compared the two and yes, I prefer the Epiphone. I have many guitars, all high end, USA or Japanese built. I wouldn't own less, but I fell in love with this guitar and may be my favorite. The first go I came home with two including the Appetite Burst. Had to order the Victoria and Anaconda. All are equally as good, but I prefer the Appetite Burst just a hair better, although it's not my favorite color. Maybe the color is the difference. Myself, I like The Epiphone pick-ups better for some odd reason. My style of music? I guess tone is to each their own. I don't like waiting on things, so this wasn't a sweetwater purchase though I highly recommend them, I just wanted to get it out there how great these guitars are. Buy one, or buy five, you can't go wrong. I HAVE SEEN MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE INDIAN LAUREL FRET BOARD. TWO POINTS...ONLY REASON THEY ARE USING INDIAN IS SUSTAINABILITY. WE HAVE ALL BUT USED UP THE ROSEWOOD., SO THEY ARE USING RESERVES ON HIGHER ENDED GUITARS UNTIL THEY GROW MORE ROSEWOOD.SECOND, STEVIE RAY VAUGHN'S FAVORITE FRETBOARD WAS INDIAN LAUREL. I AM NOT A STEVIE FAN AT ALL BUT THATS SUPPOSED TO BE A DOCUMENTED PIECE OF INFORMATION.

Amazing Guitar

By Aries on July 6, 2023 Music Background: Guitarist

I played the Epi slash LP and fell for it immediately. I also had the chance to play the Gibson slash version the same day before I bought the Epi. There a obviously some differences but for the price point of the Epi you can't beat it it is very similar to the Gibson version. Amazing guitar great feel. Great tone. Played it straight out of the box. Also the case is nice as well.

Just buy one

By Matt from Latrobe, PA on June 14, 2023

So, ok. I grew up seeing GnR all over MTV. Slash inspired me to play guitar. I've owned and played lots of Made in USA guitars. I picked this up for a great price here at Sweetwater.
My go to guitar is an Ibanez Premium RG with Dimarzio pickups, but I play strats, and lots of other guitars.
Of All the Les Paul's I've played, USA gibsons to Epiphone, to les paul styles from other companies... this is the first Les Paul I've ever played where right off the bat, it feels and sounds exactly the way I'd expect an old 60's les paul to play.
A buddy of mine has one from the 50's (actual 50's, not recreation).
There's just something about the character in his old les paul... and while there's definitely a touch of modernization here with the slash epi, that old character just shines through.
I couldn't pass this up when I saw the big price cut recently. I mean $ with case etc. It's a steal for this guitar.
It's heavy... and you feel that, and hear that... and that's a good thing.
The guitar looks great in the pics but so much better in person.
I'd honestly say, for the character of the sound... this guitar is definitely worth every penny and definitely a keeper.
Anyone who reviews this guitar saying it's not worth the money is being ridiculous. I mean at $ with a great case, if you hate the pick ups just change them. You could still be sitting at right around $ with a hell of a guitar.

A real winner!

Very affordable and highly recommend! Fantastic instrument. This isn't the Epiphone of old meaning that Gibson has finally invested some time into this brand. The quality is there!

Epiphone Slash Les Paul

By Shawn from Bemidji, MN on February 16, 2023 Music Background: Learning to play guitar for 36 years

This guitar is very nice to look at in November burst and everything about it seems neat and well crafted. The maple veneer top is gorgeous. Notably this LP has the best setup and intonation I've ever gotten on a new epiphone instrument. The sound of both pickups is amazing to me at this price range. Just like a Les Paul Guitar it sounds great wherever the switch goes whether it's clean or crunchy.

Work horse guitar

This guitar is AWESOME !!!!!!

By Joe Newinski from Welch, MN on May 25, 2022 Music Background: Learner - always learning something new

This guitar looks awesome and sounds awesome. I have to admit, this is my first Les Paul but this guitar beautiful. The neck is slightly narrow, which I really like (didn't know if I was going to like that or not). It plays really nice and the sound is awesome. This is now my favorite guitar. The burst paint job on the front is just gorgeous. I will say it collects finger prints. It was setup just about perfect - had to do a little intonation adjustment - no biggie. Tuned it up and everything worked out of the box. Very happy with this purchase. Would recommend the guitar and Sweetwater to anyone.

Shipping from Sweetwater was super fast. I love how the guitar box was packaged inside another box with lots of packing foam. It killed me to have to wait to open it......but I did.

The only issue I've seen is one of the screw holes for the utility back plates was drill in at an angle and came through the side wall within the compartment. You can't see it from the outside and the screw stays in nice so not really a big deal. I guess there is one other issue......it's with the case. It has these small area where it pushes up in spots. It's strange. Looks like staples didn't get hammer in all the way. Not really a big deal for me. I'm not playing the case. :-)

Nice guitar and great experience overall.

By Jeffrey Day from MIAMISBURG, OH on May 1, 2022

I have to admit I was a little hesitant about throwing down a grand and trusting that the whole process would go smoothly, but I did my research on the guitar and Sweetwater and I couldn't be happier with the whole transaction. I placed my order on Sunday evening. Sam, my sales rep called Monday afternoon to ask a few questions about the setup, reviewed my order, and answered any questions. Wednesday I received pictures & tracking number and then had my guitar in hand by Friday afternoon. It was setup exactly as I asked and even came with a little bag of candy to munch on.
…and yes, the guitar is everything I expected it to be as far as looks, feel, tone, neck, etc. Be aware it is thick and very heavy (great for tone, not for shoulder). I will probably put Pro Slash Humbuckers in it eventually, but the stock Probuckers are not bad at all (just turn the gain to 11). Happy with my purchase and will consider Sweetwater in the future. –J Day

Buy it!

By Sweetwater Customer on April 16, 2022

Awesome guitar. Feels great to play, looks amazing for an epiphone and easy to swap pickups yourself with the quick connect adapters. Highly recommend this guitar and the case is great too. I like that Sweetwater let's you pick the exact model you want so if you like a certain wood grain you pick that one.

Very nice guitar

By Ken Chaney from Alabama on November 1, 2021 Music Background: Guitar, bass, drums over 35 years.

I found this guitar to be excellent quality upon first inspection when opening the box. After looking it over, I plug in to my amp and played a bit. The sound quality of the guitar was what I consider ok but didn't have that sound that I was looking for. I ordered a set of Seymour Duncan Slash Alnico pickups. Had my local shop install them and set up my guitar. He noticed the nut was too high so it had to be trimmed a little. I got it back and now I would put it up against any Gibson Les Paul as far as sound goes. Now I find the guitar to be incredible! So all in all, I still didn't spend what I would have spent for a nice Gibson Les Paul Classic. Also the fact that it comes with a hard shell case makes it a no brainer for the price. I love playing this guitar!

Amazingly Good!

By Mark Call from Palm Coast, FL on September 22, 2021 Music Background: 50+ yrs. playing many other guitars in my collection. Gibson, Guild, Fender, and one Martin.

Just received this a few days ago, but can tell already, this is a keeper.
Firstly, this thing is really beautiful, great top, and back and neck look like fine furniture.
Neck is perfect to me, slightly slimmer than a 59 but chunkier and better feel than a 60's neck.
Pickups were a very pleasant surprise, very clean if needed, with good sustain with great detailed gain when called on. They have a bell like warmth to them, really nice. Case is very well made and an appreciated addition to complete this package.
A BIG THANKS has to go out to Alden Debee, who went above and beyond helping me with this guitar, He has been equally helpful with prior items I've purchased in the past.

Forgot to mention why I gave 4-1/2 stars instead of five. The fretboard should be Rosewood at this pricepoint, especially on a limited edition guitar. Laurel is good, but rosewood would be better.
