Epiphone Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar - Viper Blue, Sweetwater Exclusive Reviews
Here’s your chance to rock a true classic with a unique twist: the Epiphone Les Paul Custom in a stunning Viper Blue that's only available at Sweetwater. Taking after Gibson’s deluxe and divergent 1954 special edition, the Les Paul Custom brings an excellent mix of early- and late-age charm to the table. The full, dark, hot, and crunch-capable sonics that we all love about this Les Paul’s tone is alive and well courtesy of its ProBucker 2 and 3 voicing. To dial it in further, you’ve got all access to standard Les Paul controls, including per-pickup volumes, tones, and a 3-way pickup selector. You’ll notice that the rest of this Les Paul Custom follows true old-school protocol, including its ebony fingerboard and mahogany neck and body combo. Beyond its timeless tonewoods, this beauty also comes fully bound, lined with classic pearloid block inlays, and appointed with high-performing hardware to ensure reliable playability from basement jams to the big stage.

Worth the Wait
Meet the Paul brothers, Aspen, Tux and Viper. Just received the Viper Blue, Sweetwater Exclusive and am loving the sound, feel and general playability. Chad did a fine job keeping me apprised of the details and arrival estimate. When it arrived I was ecstatic the color is awesome and the tiger like grain pops in the light (picture doesn't do it justice). Very satisfied with this purchase.
Excellent guitar
I started buying Epiphone guitars for live shows after breaking the headstock off a Gibson. The Epi's playability is just as good as the Gibsons I have and at a fraction of the cost. This guitar is by far the nicest Epiphone I have and also the smoothest to play. It came out of the box ready to go. It has Killer sustain and crunchy pickups. I planned on replacing the bridge pickup but the pro bucker sounds better that I thought it would so I'm gonna keep it in for now. My photos don't do the finish justice. This guitar is a piece of art.

Thanks to everyone at Sweetwater
I just want to say thank you to Mike, Nicole, James, Charlie, and Jen for everything everyone did to help me with the purchase of my first electric guitar. Everyone was very kind while helping me with questions that I had at any time during the process, from pre-ordering to shipping. I received the guitar on 2/24/24, and it is perfect. This beautiful guitar exceeded my expectations and I am very happy with the new addition to the family.
Viper
This guitar is perfect. The right headstock, the fret work is wonderful. The way the binding was done from the nut up is smooth as silk. This is the 3rd guitar from Sweetwater, each time it just gets better.
Pretty good
The finish has a few flaws where they taped and sprayed, the fretboard has a few sanding flaws as well but nothing worth worrying about, it's just not a flawless guitar. My other Epiphone Les Pauls have been flawless so that's why I'm giving it 4.5 stars instead of 5.
It plays and sounds wonderful though. I got a very nice top on mine so no complaints, I'll oil up the fretboard and that will likely take care of the noticeable finishing issues. Is it on par with a Custom Shop Gibson, no. But for the price it's about of the way there. The gig bag is pointless though, I ordered a hardshell case. I'd rather they just take the price personally, I don't like the EpiLite cases either.
The finish is pretty much identical to the older quilt Prophecy Sapphire Les Pauls if you want to see something similar to what you would get.
As usual my salesguy Ryan Clapper x1348 is awesome! My Epiphones also don't take a back seat to my Gibsons either.
