Bought 2 immediately had to buy 2 more…my system is loud and clear with some thump!!!

These subs sound amazing. You won't be disappointed. I got a pair of these & a pair of the EKX 15in. speakers. Plenty of power & very lightweight. They are built solid & I also bought covers for them all. Overall it's a great package.

I bought a set of these with a set of EKX 15 in. loudspeakers. It's a powerful system that does a great job. Very easy to setup & very light weight. I would highly recommend these & the tops. A huge thank you to Ethan for all his help. He worked with me for a few weeks as I decided which set up I needed.

Just amazing ! I was running just two Voice ZLX-15P's and that was fine for most of my events, but I felt like something was missing. I took the EKX out to my gig last night and WOW ! I had no problem rocking the 300 plus people there. Do I need another one ? No ! Do I want another one ? YES !

I had listened to several powered units, knowing that many in the past were not really living up to my exact expectations. This sub blew away the competition hands down in my opinion... Tested this out during a live PA situation to see how versatile it really is. I preformed so well, I will be back there to buy another!!! I definitely recommend anyone getting into mobile DJing or just providing sound reinforcement to get this, you wont be disappointed with this unit!!!

I had been using a passive speaker system that included 2 18" subs at 600 watts RMS each in separate cabinets. The optimal space was 8 cubic feet, but I had to build them at 6.5 cubic feet to make them fit in my car. They were each 66 lbs.
This EV sub(yes, I only have one), outperforms both of those subs, and is essentially lighter! I got to test it out this weekend at a part inside warehouse, part outside(I was set up at a loading door to cover both). It filled the entire area with plenty of bass. I kept my volume where you could still have a conversation, but you had to talk up a bit lol. The bass was full and deep. So pleasant! I own subs at home that go down to 30hz which is cool and all, but they just dont hit like this one does. I got several compliments!
As the night was winding down, the group was requesting some bass heavy 90s rap. I cranked it! Even when you hit the limiter, you dont know it unless you look at the display. It never distorted! It was loud! Now, if you want bass to effect your vision, you will need more than one in bigger spaces, but I am satisfied!!!
I have this paired with 2 qsc k8.2 and have them crossed over at 100 hz. It sounds incredible and is a very small, portable, light weight system that is LOUD!!!!

After a couple of months comparing brands and models, I decided on this amazing subwoofer and I'm really happy I did! The bass is clean and very powerful. Definitely rounds out my soundsystem and brings overall fullness. I can't wait to save up for another one for my "big" gigs.

This is an amazing powered subwoofer. By default is comes set to music mode. While music mode does sound good, it pre-limits very easily. Switching it to "live" mode easily took care of the pre-limiting. The most outstanding feature for me is that this subwoofer is musical, not a thump thump, but musical sounding. I plan to add another one to my PA system sometime down the road. I'm using mine with two QSC K12.2 mains and set the DSP crossover on the EV at 100 hz, and same in the QSC mains. It's just amazing and the EV QSC combo works extremely well.

I have (at the moment) one of these and a pair of QSC K12's. I'd say these are in the same class as the QSC 181's. (One of the bands I'm work with has two of the QSC's and they most definitely rock!). These EV's are about 15lbs lighter and probably near the same average power (the casters and hardware on the QSC's probably add 10 lbs to the box- so it's not like EV skimped on the box itself). And this is a wooden box. All I can say is they pound man! I was actually looking for the 15's but wound up with this 18. At the moment I'm happy I decided on the 18's but frankly haven't carried them a bunch yet. Regardless, they supply an awesome BIG and undistorted bottom end that beautifully compliments the K12's. Awesome combo! If weight is a concern but you do NOT want to sacrifice quality, buy these!!!

These subs are pretty awsome, they compare to the kw181 but cost less. Try them, you wont be disapointed!

This is a solid set up all around. I"ve had one for a couple years and just bought a second. They have a great low end thump and a nice higher 120hz also the only negative is the low range that the internal crossover cuts you off at. Other then that these are great subs
