Epiphone Les Paul Junior - TV Yellow
Epiphone Les Paul Junior - TV Yellow Reviews
Epiphone continues its tradition of re-creating iconic guitars inspired by historic designs with a model that goes back to the very beginning: the Les Paul Junior. Introduced in 1954 as an affordable option for beginners, the Les Paul Junior’s stripped-down, no-frills approach quickly gained popularity among players of every background and skill level, cementing its legacy. Epiphone’s take on the design honors the timeless appeal of the original with period-accurate appointments, including a mahogany body and a glued-in ‘50s Vintage neck with a rosewood fretboard, dot inlays, and vintage-style tuners. A single P-90 Pro Dogear pickup delivers vintage single-coil tone with a nuanced response and a dark growl when driven. The Les Paul Junior has long inspired Sweetwater players, and Epiphone’s modern take brings the legend to a new generation of guitarists.
Great value for a classic tool!
This is a wonderful option for a niche instrument. Originally designed as a student instrument, it is counter intuitive to drop a grand and a half on the marginally better Gibson or much better Eastman. It's 90% of the way there, and if you're running it through a rat or muff anyway, leave that cork unsniffed. It gets played more than my tele.
Great Guitar!
I was going it write this is a great guitar for the price but to be honest, its a great guitar regardless of price. I had Sweetwater set it up so it was playable right out of the box. Super fun to play. Stoked to finally add a worthy P90 Les Paul Jr to my quiver.
Perfect
Just got my Jr. from Sweetwater. Arrived earlier than expected. Great set up and in tune. Playable right out of the box.
It's more than I expected and the nicest solid body I've ever owned or played. I considered the Gibson model and did a deep dive on comparisons. I honestly can't imagine that the extra $ for the Gibson would provide me with any discernible extras or playability worth $. It's a simple, beautiful Les Paul Jr.! Keeping in mind that the Gibson model weighs about a pound heavier, which may partly account for the purported longer sustain, I purchased the heaviest Epiphone weighing in at 7 lbs 14 oz. I absolutely love it! Can't keep my hands off it!
