Epiphone Les Paul
Came in just as described, and is a beauty to play. Dream guitar since I was 7 and finally have it with me thanks to Sweetwater. Very kind staff too!
AMAZING Guitar!
I ordered this guitar from Sweetwater and got it in only two days. When it arrived, the toggle switch had snapped off in shipping but none of the electronics were damaged which was good. I sent it back and they sent me a brand new one that arrived the very next new day. Everything about the guitar itself is amazing. It looks beautiful with the all mahogany top, sides, and back. The blend in the color is beautiful and it plays beautifully with or without an amp and has great sound and tone. It doesn't go out of tune as much as I thought it would and I'm playing rock, jazz, blues, you name it. Overall, this is an amazing guitar and I completely recommend you buy it!
Very versatile guitar!
I was considering putting coil taps on one of my guitars and it couldn't be done. I researched several guitars and decided to purchase this Les Paul Classic. At 8lbs 2 oz it wasn't quite the beast that some Les Pauls can be weight wise. And with volume and tone per pickup, coil taps and a phase switch it's the perfect gigging guitar if you don't want to switch instruments several times in a night. I've done that at gigs and it has, on occasion, resulting in the bar thinking the set's over and hitting the juke box - not fun. I rehearsed with this last night and my bandmates loved it. Two of them tried it during a break and were very impressed with the neck and the beautiful finish on this guitar. The different tones I could get were all awesome! I hope my other electrics don't get too jealous!
Epiphone LP Classic
Great guitar. I'd really like to thank the smaller builders, foreign builders, etc for stepping up quality in recent years. Kind of put makers like Gibson under pressure to improve the quality of their budget models. You could take two Gibson LPs and find that one is special and the other is just great. Blind test this Epiphone LP with a Gibson LP, barring that 'special one' that comes along every now and then, and I don't think anyone could tell the difference.
The go to guitar so far
This guitar was one of 2 I purchased to fuel my need to play again it really brings back the classic feel.this one sounds great looks amazing I wish it was a tad heavier.same as the bourbon burst arrived in perfect shape buying 2 at the same time was a good idea for myself to get back to playing.
Absolutely beautiful guitar
After a year of stretching this guitar's legs, I submit this review. First off, photographs do this guitar no justice; the retro vibe...stunning. Hardware has been solid, electronics are steady. The tapered neck & the fingerboard don't disappoint...plays extremely smoothly. Now, on to the features! Split coil at bridge & neck provide a myriad of tones. Pull-pot tone knob provides a gentle wah-phase sound when lifted! Over-all, so much bang for your buck. Epiphone knocked this one out of the park. Sweetwater service exceeded all expectations & my Sales Engineer, Kent Sallaz rocked it, as usual!!!
One fine guitar
It seems to me that this is an absolute bargain. This is my first LP, so I'm no authority, but it appears to check all the boxes. The build quality and finish are first rate. And the tone is great. This is a powerful guitar. The pickups aren't particularly hot, but it sure makes it's presence known. Epiphone is clearly serious about making quality instruments. As always, first rate service from Connor Smith and the Sweetwater crew. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Epi Les Paul Cherry
I received my Les Paul today and I fell in love with
it. It's so beautiful and sounds awesome. The service, sales agent and shipping was great. The 55 point check was sweet.
Superb Instrument for the Right Price
Although it took 7 months to arrive, I was beyond overjoyed when receiving this guitar. The set-up I requested from Sweetwater's techs was impeccable, and the guitar feels like it virtually plays itself. The alnico 5 custom probuckers are fairly "hot" when subjecting them to overdriven tones, however, they also produce pristine, single-coil cleans when they are split, via the push/pull control knobs. Lastly, the guitar's finish is absolutely gorgeous (although a bit darker than most of the photos/vids I've seen), and it certainly motivates me to pick this guitar to play first out of my collection more times than not. An excellent buy, and a very special thanks to my sales rep, T.J. Jackson, for keeping me consistently up to date on the shipping process throughout.
First electric guitar
After reading reviews and doing my homework I finally pulled the trigger and ordered my first electric guitar. Yes, it took a few months to get here, but it is what it is. As a new, learning, guitar player(at age 65) I just love the fit and finish of this guitar. The Heritage Cherry Sunburst is just gorgeous. As for now, the guitar is way ahead of my skills but I had a friend play it as well and he just loves it.
Spectacular for the price. Awesome customer service from Greg!
Great sound great price!!
Customer service is what really sets Sweetwater apart. Greg provided hands down best service i have ever had in music store. This is what really sets Sweetwater ahead of the pack. I drove from Indianapolis and will be doing it once again soon. Greg Thank you.
This thing is good!
I must admit, initially I got a little caught up in the whole "new headstock" talk and decided to give one a try. When I opened the box, the fit and finish was beautiful. I spent the last couple of hours playing it and I am in love. Great value and like always my Sweetwater team got it to me quick.
Worst guitar you can buy.
I've tried every trick in the book to keep this guitar in tune, but it just won't do it. I've tried a complete set up, wrapping the strings around the bridge, locking tuners, a string butler, a new nut, 3 different types of strings, etc. No luck. Goes out of tune every 2 minutes. Stick it in the corner and move on. Just don't buy this... you WILL be sorry!
