It Works
Works as advertised
Does what is suppose todo.
Does what it should great value
No noise
Works as intended. The only noiseless adapter out of 4 I recently purchased.
Works Well. Solid
It feels solid and strong. It powers any 9V pedal I've tried it with.
The best affordable - 0.660A
At 0.660A, more power/current than most- it can also power Keyboard that calls for 0.5 A/9V, while the others are .200 A and too low for your need. However, most are just designed for guitar effect pedals. Anyway, so far so good.
Great bargin
Worked great for 5 years! Great deal for the money!
Great product
Solid adapter that is well built. Would buy again.
It Works!
How do you rant and rave about a PS? You can't really. It either works or it doesn't. There is no in between. It Works!
This PS works perfectly for mine and my daughters Jerry Cantrell wah pedals that I bought here at Sweetwater. I'm gonna have to talk to Eric Molnar soon because the one that I bought was hijacked by my daughter because it does what it does so well. Thanks to the good deals at Sweetwater, music has become a source for bonding between my daughter and I. Eric really did some cool things for me and I appreciate his efforts.
Addressed issues that other 9v supplies did not.
I built a reverb pedal and it ran dead-silent on a 9v battery and I tried two other brands that claimed quiet and they produced additional sound oddities from static to slight clicks. It's not top-of-the-line wires used but it seems solid enough for the price. It worked well enough, I just ordered a second one.
Perfect!
This power adapter is quiet and works perfectly. I couldn't be happier with this product. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. Buy it! :)
Buy It!
Bought this power supply to power my new GCB95F. Was never a fan of using 9 volt batteries with my pedals. This power supply does its job without any issues... Why even use batteries, unless you are limited to outlets. This power supply pays for itself with 2-3 purchase of 9 volts batteries.
Thanks sweetwater for nice pricing, fast shipping and a great sales Rep. Patrick
Worth it
Light wight . Simple . Does what it's suppose to do. 100 times better than using a 9V.
Dunlop 9v AC adapter
Power your pedal with AC and stop looking for batteries. Worth its price many times over.
Dunlop EBC-003
It does it's job. Saves on batteries.
Great Adapter
Works great and is high quality, only downside is that the prongs are angled in a way that causes it to take up a lot of outlet space
9v Power supply
The right power supply for the majority of Dunlop/MXR pedals. No issues. Quiet supply!
Delivers plenty of clean current. Great price to have as backups. Wire is thin. Space hog on power strips.
At the sale price, these are a worthy purchase as backup power supplies. They seem to deliver plenty of current, and have so far been quiet and there are no audio or performance issues. For the reasons detailed below, I would not recommend these for hard use cases, or as your primary power supply while touring or gigging.
The main "cons" are as follows:
(1) To accommodate the changeable prongs, the housing on the larger end (the wall wart) of this design occupies a wider area when plugged into a power strip compared to most other brands, so it may block or narrow available AC outlets adjacent to it on the power strip. That means you may not be able to fit as many things into your power strip or AC outlets. This is the biggest negative for me. I like to keep as many outlets open for use as possible. If power strip space is an issue, I suggest going with another brand on which the plug prongs are oriented at a right angle to the wire. That design is common, and takes up much less space.
(2) The wire is a little flimsy and thin compared to more premium power supplies. In my experience, that is the failure point for most of these power supplies. Thin insulation can break from flexing fatigue--especially at connector points--and that exposes the copper conductor, risking shorts or severed wire. I compared this wire with ones from D'Addario and Strymon, both of which cost more. Strymon uses impressively robust wire that is noticeably thicker and more durable than the other two. D'Addario wire sits midway between this Dunlop model and the Strymon. The D'Addario costs 2X and Strymon 4X as much as this Dunlop supply!
(3) The prong/plug part is removeable and can be replaced with other prongs/plugs for use in other countries with different outlet holes. Time will tell if the prongs can come undone or get lost. I do not play internationally, so any potential benefit is of no use to me.
Noise
These might work for you, but for me they are noisy. I bought two, both had noise. Plugged into a high quality Furman power strip and one pedal. I tried with other power sources and multiple pedals. The pedals are quiet on battery, and with another power supply I had on hand. I tried different guitars, guitar cables and patch cables. Bottom line, the noise is absolutely from these power supplies. I stupidly threw out the packaging so I am not returning them. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because Sweetwater shipped them fast.
Feedback when used to power pedals
When used to power my pedals, it added significant buzzing/feedback to my pedals. Other power supplies do not add any buzzing.
