Insert Cable, 1/4" TRS-1/4" TS (Tip) and 1/4" TS (Ring) - 11.8"

EBS’s ICY-30 insert cable expands the sonic possibilities of your Billy Sheehan Ultimate Signature Drive, Stanley Clarke Signature Acoustic Preamp, and Dynaverb pedals while keeping your signal flow intact. This insert cable features EBS’s popular, space-saving flat-head connectors and ribbon-style cabling to neatly organize your pedals on compact pedalboards, without kinks or tangles. Additionally, the double-shielded design extends overall durability while delivering pristine audio quality and less noise throughout your signal chain. Finally, you'll find that use cases extend beyond EBS pedals with Insert jacks; for instance, engineers at Sweetwater Studios use these cables to insert external effects processors into channel inserts in their control rooms, making them quick and viable solutions for a multitude of audio applications.

quality not suitable for audio

By d-druuk. from Madison, WI
Music Background: 20+ years guitar

i had two of these to go to / from some stereo pedals. they did not last. either the connection or the cable itself wore out or broke, because i had to wiggle the cable to get audio thru. even when i could get audio thru, the signal was degraded. can't recommend.

Stopped working after 3 years

By Andy from Santa Cruz, CA
Music Background: Guitar, DJ

I enjoyed this trs breakout cable for a few years: it's compact, the thib right angle connectors save space when using it on a pedalboard, and it's very useful for trs stereo-out effects and effect send/return. After almost exactly 3 years of home use, though, free from abuse and storing it well when not being used, it stopped sending stereo out and send/return and does mono only. This is unfortunate. So I'm using the Hosa breakout cable (bought one years before and still works) until I can find a space-saving set-up like this one.

Quality Control a bit lacking ...

By Clint G. from Westport, CT

Excellent Cables ... overall. I've got four of these in my complex WindSynth rig, and the space they save is wonderful. However ...

One of the new cables I just received had the flaw shown in the photo (center of the lower cable). The conductor connected to the common Sleeve is showing through at a point where the cable narrows slightly. Looks like a manufacturing flaw. This cable is otherwise OK, so I am just taping it up and carrying on ... but this Quality Control hiccup is a tad unsettling from a company that otherwise produces excellent quality products.

A must for stereo pedal users

By Cody H.

These worked absolutely fantastic for my new HX stomp as I needed a way to maintain a stereo setup for my stereo FX loop on the HX stomp! These are easily the best TRS Y cable on the market for pedalboards and I highly recommend having a few on hand for any time you may need to split for those stereo pedals you have in your collection!

Perfect solution

By Sweetwater Customer

I needed this cable to run my stereo Timeline and Bluesky pedals into my new Strymon Iridium, which has only one input jack. It works just as it should, has a short cable length intended for a pedal board, and has very low-profile right angle plugs that save space. Seems to be reasonably good quality — definitely recommend.

Essential for Certain Pedals

By Moe

I am using this with my Strymon Deco, so that I can add its effects after my other stereo effects. I could find very few options for an insert cable that was pedalboard friendly. Most cables of this nature are at least a meter long, which is far more than I needed, and the only other two cables of this nature that I could find from other retailers were significantly higher priced or seemed to be out of stock often. After further consideration, I settled on this EBS cable, and so far, it seems to be getting the job done and is working as described. Given that it is meant to emulate tape-based effects, placing the Deco at the end of the stereo chain makes a lot more sense than having it at the front of the stereo chain, as I did before, so I am happy with what the cable is letting me do. Time will tell if the cable holds up, but I really like that the both the head and the cable itself have a low profile, as well as that they are at a right angle, which is not the case with the other 1 foot y cables that I had browsed. If this cable continues to work well, I may replace some of my other cables with EBS cables to take advantage of their small size. With so few other options for a short Y cable, I would have to recommend this cable if you need to go from two TS outputs to a TRS input.
