Epiphone Blues King Studio Acoustic-electric Guitar - Dark Burst
Epiphone Blues King Studio Acoustic-electric Guitar - Dark Burst Reviews
Based on a classic Gibson parlor model, the pint-sized Epiphone Blues King Studio boasts vintage charm, modern craftsmanship, and a soulful sound that will instantly warm up any blues ballad or folk ditty. Its layered mahogany back, sides, and neck form the basis of its resonance, while the Sitka spruce top, further enhanced with X-bracing, adds notable punch and articulation. The Blues King Studio also features a rosewood fingerboard, allowing for even more low-to-midrange emphasis and providing an exceptionally comfortable playing experience when paired with the mahogany neck's rounded C profile. Finally, should you need to plug in this parlor-inspired model, the Epiphone Blues King Studio is fitted with a Fishman Presys pickup system that sports Volume and Tone controls, making it ready to grace any stage. Whether you're playing in the control room, by the campfire, or down at the crossroads, Sweetwater guitarists attest that the Epiphone Blues King Studio has the soulful sound you need.

Worth getting a setup on!
Right out of the box we bonded, now I play it almost constantly. This is the first guitar to get a setup before shipping. I set up my Epiphone and Squier electric guitars. I tried to setup a cheaper acoustic before, but even with low action and lighter strings it didn't play or sound as good as this one. With 11-52 strings the Blue King plays almost as easy as an electric guitar and sounds really good.
Great Blues Guitar!
This guitar is perfect for fingerstyle blues and slide guitar.
It sounded great right out of the box but i changed the nut, saddle and bridge pins to bone.
Changed the strings to D'addario 12 gauge phosphorous bronze also.
Strum an open chord and it just keeps ringing and ringing.
I still can't believe i was able to get a guitar of this quality for such a cheap price.
This guitar is a tremendous value.
I've owned 3 top of the line Martin guitars in the past and currently have about 8 vintage acoustics all made before 1930 including one all original, excellent condition guitar made in 1870.
I also have a few vintage resonators and some modern electric guitars as well.
I am just as happy playing this Epiphone Blues King Studio as I am playing my expensive vintage ones.
Thank you to my Fantastic, Longtime Sales Engineer, Chris Neyman for always taking great care of me!
