Epiphone Embassy Bass Guitar - Smoked Almond Metallic Reviews
The Epiphone Embassy earns every letter of its name, standing proudly as a tribute to the 1963 original. And it's better than ever, boasting improved balance and looks with a 2-per-side headstock and an extended upper horn. It's also equipped with ProBucker 760 bass pickups that replicate the original Gibson mid-1960s Thunderbird pickups, as well as cool original barrel-style knobs for volume, tone, and blend. With its solid mahogany body, mahogany neck, and Indian laurel fingerboard, this bass has a rich, thumpy, warm low end and smooth playability.

Great bass
I LOVE this instrument. I got it to replace an epi T-bird that I couldn't get over the balance issues. This has a similar tone but feels great strapped on. This was just meant to be my "lay around" bass that I could just pick up and practice on but I've taken it to several gigs and it has stood up against my higher priced basses. It feels really good to play - smooth and thumpy - just the way we like it. You won't be disappointed
Another GREAT working bass with TB pickups done right!
Owned a red 60's Embassy in the 1970's and these are BETTER than them. This batch was done with the bridge in the correct position(intonates correctly) and came close to setup perfectly. Changed strings to my lighter gauge, let it sit for a couple of days for the neck to "relax" and then did a complete setup. Besides being a beautiful bass, the same growl and full notes in the upper registers(like TBirds with these pickups) are an amazing acheivment is a bass at this price point. These are equal or better than the 2017 versions. Buy one or more before they're gone.
The Embassy Exceeds its Price
I bought this Embassy bass based on other reviews as well as on the specs and design details. I am not at all disappointed. Buying from Sweetwater I knew this would be a light weight instrument. I needed to do a slight adjustment to the string height when it arrived to get rid of a bit of fret buzz. It was easy to do. The bass is well constructed with all appointments feeling solid. So far the neck has been quite stable. I was able to dial in the tones I prefer. The placement of the bridge at the bottom of the body makes the 34" scale play easily. For the relatively meager price this one is better than many I've owned that cost more.
