Stereo Volume/Pan Pedal with 500k ohm resistance

The dual potentiometer 6165 Stereo Volume/Pan Pedal has a 500k ohm resistance suitable for the audio path of passive or active instruments. Attached to the footplate is a switch that provides the user two operating modes (volume or pan). Use the Stereo Volume/Pan PedalA input / A output for the left channel and the B input / B output for the right channel for stereo signals. For use with stereo cable installations using TRS type stereo plugs, use the B input and B output. For use as a mono volume pedal, use the A input and A output. For use as a typical pan pedal, switch the 6165's toe tap switch to the pan position and use only the A input. The pedal will pan the signal between the A and B outputs.

Ernie Ball - Best Volume Pedal

By Michael C. from Dayton, Ohio
Music Background: performer

This pedal works great for stereo volume, but also has an awesome pan feature which is unique and very useful. My last one lasted 15 years. Very solid and reliable.

Excellent

By Ryan L. from Kentwood, MI

I run a somewhat convoluted stereo rig in my home studio room that is rather permanent right now. It's more of an A/B rig, as mainly I'm lazy and I don't want to keep unplugging cables and amps. I like to just turn them both on and be able to switch with one foot press. I use a 10 loop switcher that is routed to two amps, one with an FX loop and one without. I really needed to split the signal into stereo outside of my switcher routing in order to adequately use my verb/delay in stereo. This pedal helped me achieve just that. High quality, sturdy build that functions awesomely in stereo, but also is very easy to use in mono for that quick gig that pops up here and there. The pan feature is cool, but I do not really use it that much. I mostly just use it to A/B a tone setting between my two amps. BEWARE before buying...the pan control is NOT a true left/center/right panner, rather it is a tremolo pan. It will cut the signal from one amp before sending it to another, so it is not good for blending the two amps together at different volumes. You might look elsewhere if that is what you want. If you like the tremolo pan effect, then this pedal will achieve that marvelously. Anyway, the pedal works great and allowed me to split my signal exactly as I needed.

Well built solid pedal; clean electronics

By Meghan G. from Los Angeles
Music Background: Recording engineer, producer, guitar player

Got this pedal to use in my wet-dry-wet setup, and specifically to use for the wet side.

The electronics are clean, and the pedal is built like a tank.

It works

By Charles from Illinois

This pedal works OK and is quiet. It would have been better if it had some way to adjust sensitivity like some pedals do. It seems like the volume increase is uneven. Quiet, quiet, quiet then loud. I will learn to work with it, but some sort of sensitivity setting would be better.

pedal

By Bill from Texas
Music Background: Over 30 years on stage

This is the best volume pedal I have used, solid built heavy stays on floor where you put it. This is the pedal if you are working live. A little over priced but worth it.

The Third Foot

By Fastelder from Baltimore
Music Background: Getting back into electrics after a 20yr hiatus & loving all the new toys.

I play a synth access guitar and route the pups through a multi FX and into the same keyboard amp I plug my GR-20 into. I play worship at church and use the synth to mostly fill out the sound with pads and such. In order to keep the dynamics in place, I often have to pull the volume back on my RP-1000 and increase the synth volume - impossible to do simultaneously as it literally leaves me without a leg to stand on. My Sales Engineer Mark, hooked me up with this item and it is most definitely the solution. I can use the pan function to blend more or less of each signal together. I don't know how other people would use this, but it is a complete solution for me. Kudos: Built as solid as any pedal I've EVER owned. I know people always say "it's built like a tank" but seriously, put a turret on this and it's ready for deployment. The only minus I give is that in mid pan, you get about half of each signal. That may just be the nature of what it's doing - makes sense. Anyway, shifting a bit toward the input you want to emphasize brings the volume back up. I love it. I can now play alternating "duets" switching from the guitar to a synth patch just by rocking back and forth.
